Life has a way of showing what is important. Regardless of whether or not we think something is. I worked hard for several years to build up Rita Reviews into something I could be proud of. I am thrilled to say that I am proud of what I have created but I have been a bit neglectful lately. I know that those who have followed me for a while and seen all the work that I have done will be the first to say “You deserve a break!” I am, as always, eternally grateful for you all.
I could give all the excuses in the world and while they are all true in the end I think it was more just and overwhelming need for a break. I know I want to slow down a bit, NOT stop. There are plenty of things to do to get to the place where I can slow down a bit more than I have and I have finally managed to get all of that into some order. You should see my planner– it looks like something exploded in there.
Sometime we have to readjust out lens, so to speak, in order to see things more clearly. That is what I have been doing an why I thought why not give someone a new lens to look through and enjoy!

I need to take the time to be more grateful. I have an amazing life I never expected I could have. Not long ago I had a practice of formally being in gratitude in the morning and before I went to bed. This allowed me to be grateful many times throughout the day. I can definitely say I was a much happier and kinder person during that time. Thanks for the reminder 🙂
Ps: take some time for yourself! Your readers won’t leave.

I am older now, mostly just Hubz and me at home. In fact, right this minute it is early at my son and DIL’s home–I am waiting for my older grand-daughter to get ready for school. This “readjustment” from being the Mom has been….um…interesting. It turns out that there are so many times in life that cause us to “readjust.” I love Rita’s Reviews and have been a fan for a few years. Thank you.

I’d readjust our family lens by giving up a few things kids are involved in and prioritize the small amount of time we have with our son who will be leaving for college this fall…way too soon!

I need to readjust and be more.grateful and appreciative of the fact that I am able to be a stay at.home mom. I need to be in the moment more with my three young kids.and not rushing here to there all day.

I need to readjust and try to make some me time! Over the last six months or so I have been dealing with my daughter having surgery twice and my mother being sick. I have become the care taker of others more and more. Which is fine except I don’t have any me time. I need to readjust and let them become more independent and self reliant. It would definitely help them, myself and my family.

I try to regularly take a wide angle view of my life and keep in touch with all the things I have to be grateful for.

I can completely relate to where you are right now. I work full time and have two kids – one in high school and one in 5th grade. They both are involved in activities. Plus, my husband works full time and is working on his PhD. It leaves little time for me – I need to readjust my lens to create the time for me without comprising the rest. Good luck! I really love this blog and wish you the best with your readjustment!

I’d readjust our family lens and make more time to get out and try new things, and be more adventurous. With being so busy and getting caught up in the less important things, we tend to put what is really important on hold. So i need to make more time to share moments with my family together.

I need to re-adjust my lens when it comes to house work. Sometimes I feel like I obsess to much about keeping the house clean when I should be letting some stuff go and spending that time with the kids instead.

I’ve been so focused on being a single mom and trying to make things work in the circumstances I am given… Sometimes I lose focus of WHY. I need to try to step back and enjoy the time I have with my three beautiful daughters before they’re grown and gone

I need to re-adjust my lens regarding my career and personal well-being. I am at a cross road in my life where I feel utterly lost. I do not have any types of short or long term goals and I am starting to feel the full weight of stress bearing down my shoulders. I need to find my true passion in life again and take it one day at a time.

I’d readjust our family lens by slowing down and not overcommitting myself or my family. I need to take some more “me” time by exercising.

I need to readjust my lens as far as work goes. I love my job, I really do-however they are re-organizing and they are making us all reapply for our jobs with the chance that some of us who have been there many years won’t be re-hired. Not fun. New management has changed things considerably and I am not sure if I will be as happy there anymore if I do indeed go back. I need to focus on what I want to do with the remainder of my life, career wise that is-and decide whether at this stage in my life do I want to try something new. (which I will probably have no choice over if not rehired!)

I need to readjust to focus more on positive things and see how I can ‘edit’ the negative things or take them more in stride. My patience level has been very low lately,,,,and I don’t like who i can be at times.

I have so tried to readjust and take care of me as the doctor told me I needed to do but it is really. I take care of my disabled daughter, watch my granddaughter and take care of my elderly mother. In addition, I have been taking care of my brother’s estate since he passed away.

I know to readjust my lens by not sweating the small stuff. It’s ok if there are a few dishes still in the sink when you leave to take the kids to the beach on that beautiful day! Why stress, it will all be there when you get back!
