It used to be that September signified fall but it seems like more and more it stays hotter longer. I am so ready for the weather to cool down that it is not even a little bit funny. It has been so hot here in the last few weeks that going outside has been difficult. Just walking out into the heat will take your breath away.
I know that sounds crazy but it is true. The fall could not get here quick enough. In fact, the fall is my favorite season of the year. The season is pretty simple too. It is the only time of the year where it is not too hot or not too cold and there aren’t really a lot of storms. In the spring we tend to get a lot of rain which isn’t a bad thing but puts a damper on things.
In the fall I can wear short sleeves with a sweater if it is chilly and I can sit outside at night and enjoy my hot chocolate (yes I do that) without freezing my buns off. Not that freezing off my buns is a bad thing since there is more than enough to lose. Nope the fall just is better in my opinion and I can’t wait for it. The pumpkins, the colors, the smells, all of it thrills me. Summer gets me down for some reason but fall always brings me back up.

I too love Fall. I have figured out why I can no longer tolerate the heat of summer though, I’m old and my thermostat has broken. Have a great day

My favorite season is Fall too! I love the crisp air and it not being too hot. I like summer winding down and getting to relax a little more.

My tree in my front yard is only 1/4 turned – most trees in the neighborhood have turned and are losing leaves. I wish the trees would stay beautiful longer.
