How many times a month do you buy new toys for your child(ren)? If you are like me I am betting that happens so many times that it is not even funny. Once they grow out of them you end up with a ton of left over toys. For years I have wished there was a way to curb this issue. That is where Pley comes into play (pun intended!) I want to share with you a little about Pley and my 5 top reasons for renting toys instead of buying them.
Pley is a company that allows you to rent toys! That’s right rent toys which means when your child is done with them or out grows them you can send them back! How utterly awesome is that? Of course now I can sell legos and probably make a fortune since my kids don’t seem to want to play with them.
No More Clutter
When you rent toys you get to send them back which means there will be no clutter of toys lying around the house just waiting for you to figure out what to do with them. When your child is done with a toy you send the box bck to Pley and get a new box.
Always Age Appropriate
Don’t you just hate trying to figure out which toy your child needs? Well when you rent toys that guessing has been taken out of your hands. Leaving you free to do the important things like figure out how to get your son potty trained.
Lots of Toys to Choose from
Pley gives you access to a large selection of educative toys, including 400+ LEGO sets and popular robotics toys. What that means is that you will be the cool parent who always has whatever sort of toy is currently hot at the moment. You will be the envy of the playground!
Save Money
When you rent a toy instead of buying it you aren’t paying $50 for a Lego toy that your child will use for three days and then move on to something else. Average Pley members save ~$800/year.
The Perfect Gift
Don’t know what to get your cousin’s child for Christmas or your friend’s child for her birthday? Give the the gift of Pley. This allows them to pick out the things they want and will save mom and dad a huge headache and a ton of money.

I have never heard of this but is a great idea. I bought about half of the kids toys as gifts but anything that was just ‘because” was found second hand. I’d be that neurotic mom or g-ma that for sure only gets things that can be washed carefully. IDK. some things might creep me out with the germ thing.

Oh wow, I didn’t know that was an option! I can see that being really great especially for kids who lose their interest in toys after a little bit (which I’m assuming is most kids).

This is such a great idea, for cutting back on clutter if nothing else. I am constantly trying to get my kids to thin out their toys to donate or sell and it’s an uphill battle. It would be so nice to have a built in excuse to return a toy when the rental is done. I will check out what they have to offer.

Oh that is a wonderful idea! I love that they are age appropriate! This would save so much money and give them so many to build. How fun!

This is a great idea! My kids get sick of toys really quickly and this way they could keep getting different toys.

I’ve never really knew you could do this. Quite a clever idea. I know my daughter gets bored with her toys after a few weeks. I’ll have to look into this! Thanks for sharing.

Oooh, I like that option. I never considered it but will now!

I love this idea of renting toys! Never considered an option like this before… because I didn’t know it existed, but Pley definitely sounds helpful.

I’m not sure it this would work for me. I know the example of LEGOS but my son loves his LEGOS and plays for hours with them. Maybe this would be good for high-end toys that I might typically not buy.
