I’m Loving Ankle Boots Thanks to RHEA Footwear

Mar 04, 2016 | Rita

RHEA Footwear Number One

I have never worn a pair of ankle boots before in my life. They simply were not something that I thought I would like. I guess it is because I shattered one ankle years ago and anything that stops and rubs and on that particular ankle, including socks, is really uncomfortable. Add into the fact that I tend to fall down really easily (remember the whole don’t fall on the gravel and I did story) and I just don’t  wear anything that could cause that. Enter RHEA Footwear! When they asked me to review a pair of their footwear I thought why not give their ankle boots a try.

2015 Rhea Women's Bootie Outsole

Actually my sister in-law said they would look really cute and it was a shame that I wouldn’t wear any. Which translates into “you are looking more and more like an old lady so do something about it!”  One of the things that I really loved about RHEA Footwear is that it is non slip (they call it their patented NeverSlip™) which means I am a little less likely to fall down.  After all a girl needs all the help she can get. I really love how their website explains their shoes:

You should expect a little bit more out of everything you own. You want the best performance in the rain for your “All-Season” tires. You want the best grip in snow on your “winter” tires without having to put your snow chains on. This shouldn’t be any different for your shoes except one thing: you care about how the shoes look. You want your shoes to look nice while having the best grip on whatever surface.

Daphne Booties

I received the Daphne Black Bootie  ($149.95) to try out and I really love them. Which both says it all but doesn’t say enough. First they have pointy toes which I read recently is really great when you are short. I normally don’t do pointy toes but after reading that article I thought I would give them a try.

Pointy Toes
Water-resistant upper,  Soft full-grain leather, and Silver RHEA monogram logo

These are made to wear in all types of weather which means when it snows I can still look stylish and feel great about myself. That is really important to me and I love that RHEA took all of that in to account. The logo is small and doesn’t take anything away from the beauty of these booties.
Molded EVA insole and Ventilated leather lining

Okay I am going to be honest and say that I don’t know what the molded EVA actually is but that insole feels fabulous and that really is all that matters. The lining is brilliant as well and really pulls the entire bootie together.
1 3/4″ heel height

I love this height because it isn’t too tall. I don’t feel as though I am walking on stilts. I am a short gal and while I love the added height I don’t need to get a nose bleed while trying to achieve it.
Side zip closure

Makes getting them on and off a breeze. This is especially great for me since that one ankle swells.
Fits true-to-size

This is a big thing for me because when you order any shoes online you run into the dilemma of how they fit. Sometimes they fit beautifully but sometimes not so much. I loathe when companies don’t tell em so I know when ordering. RHEA lets you know right form the start which makes ordering a breeze.
