Saint Rita is the patron saint of Impossible Cases. So you can she why I would feel drawn to her.
HISTORY: Born Margarita in Roccaporena, near Spoleto, Italy, in 1381. Rita wanted to become a nun at an early age. Her elderly parents had other plans for her. When Rita was 12 years old, they arranged for her to marry a man who was neglectful, abusive and unfaithful.
After 18 unhappy years of marriage, Saint Rita’s husband was killed by an enemy in a street fight. The two sons they and who were like their father died a short time later. Saint Rita tried to enter the Augustinian convent at Cascia, but she was refused because she was a widow. Augustinian sisters should be virgins.
However, because of she was persistent and had an unbelievable devotion to prayer and charity, she was given entry.
Saint Rita prayed to suffer as Jesus did and received a mark like that of the crown of thorns. She was forever faithful to the Lord.
PRAYERS: There are several prayers to Saint Rita. My favorite is listed at My Catholic Tradition It simply struck a cord within me. However as you all I know I also believe just a chat with Saint Rita will work as well.
MY EXPERIENCE: I have recently started chatting/praying to Saint Rita. I believe she can help me in what seems an overwhelming impossible case. I will continue to let you all know how it is going.
YOUR EXPERIENCE: Anyone who had prayed to Saint Rita or is just interested in learning more please let me know.
I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.
