Sam’s Health & Friday Cocktails

This week’s post is more of an announcement than an actual post. It is about Friday Cocktails and the fact that I am currently putting them ON HOLD until the first Friday of June.

The reason behind this decision is that I have a huge list of review that are coming up over the next week or so that I need to concentrate on. Then I have to start prepping for the end of the school year as well as the trip that we will taking. So, there is a lot going on and I needed to adjust my schedule a little bit. We have been going a million miles an hour lately.

UPDATE ON SAME

Many of you have been emailing and asking about Sam. He had his last treatment and as of right now it looks as things worked. I know some of you have wondered what was going on. I didn’t say much about what his illness was or what we were going through because I wanted to keep it a family matter. We were struggling and I didn’t have the words. Truthfully I still don’t. Without going into every little thing let me tell y’all that Sam has cancer. Well had as the treatments and chemo seem to have gotten it. We don’t know for sure yet, we have to wait and see. He i also my special needs child having autism and some other medical issues. The last six months have been hell. There is no other way to put it.

Work, took such a backseat that I am still trying to recover some of the lost clients and other things. I know that we will be fine, things are looking up. I want to thank all you, all of the brands, PR reps, clients, just everyone who has understood that our lives took a blow. That I couldn’t be 100% here all the time because I was needed elsewhere. Having him get that last treatment has meant so much. Finding things early helped as well. Thank god I am such a worrier and make sure he never misses a doctor’s appointment.

NERVOUS

I am more than a little nervous about our upcoming trip and his stay with his father this summer. I want to scream NO! You can’t have him! At the same time I know that Sam needs to spend time with his dad. I will work through my nerves and things will be better soon. I am working towards getting things back to some sort of normal around here and hope to have that accomplished in the next couple of weeks.
