Each and every day we should be thankful for something in our lives. The problem is we get so busy and life gets so hectic that we forget to be thankful. So I thought why not have a thankful day post on Saturdays. For most of us it is the end of the week and we will have a better chance to spend some time reflecting on what we are thankful for.
This week I have several things to be thankful for: first for my mother kicking my butt and making me realize that it was past time to pull myself together. Secondly I am thankful for all of my readers and wonderful internet friends who have supported me through all of the rough times as well as the good times. You are all truly a God send. Finally I am thankful for our Lord and Savior this week. He has blessed me so much and shown me that through life’s messes I still matter. Even in those moments when I feel as though I don’t.
What are you thankful for this week?
I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.

I am thankful for the amazing family that I have that are there for me when I need and when I need them the most, I’m also thankful for my parents that have showed how to appreciate what I have.

This week I am thankful for my families support and help around the house. My daughter has not been feeling well and they have been great about helping me out.

Great minds must think alike! I just started a weekly post series myself, called Weekly Blessings, where I share some of the things I’ve been blessed by the past week. I realized I was missing out on some great blessings because I was preoccupied by the “real world.” I’m so grateful for this new series that makes me focus on the good–the blessings!! This week, I’m really thankful for time with family, and safe travels!

I love it! I just felt that taking a few minutes each week to find something to be thankful for helps us life in the moment, even the small ones.

What a great idea! Life has rough patches but the only way I have found the best way to deal with it is to focus on the blessings to get me through it all. Even though I have had a terrible time finding work and some health issues, I have blessings too. My husband and family have been supportive and loving.
Rita, I am glad your mom is there for you, aren’t moms awesome! I am also happy that you are finding comfort and strength from friends everywhere, and online. :). I know that I find comfort in sharing and the prayer requests. I love enjoy for others.
