Scheduling time with God is not always been something that has been high in my list. I know that it is important but how and where was I going to fit that in. Not to mention there where time when I was not even sure if I believe in God anymore. Something told me or start a little at a time. I am having a planner designed for myself and made sure that there were faith sections as well as something on the weekly calendar (I’ll show you all when it is finished.)
I knew I could talk with God in the shower. I always did because it was one of the few times when I didn’t have a million things running through my head. I needed to do more. So I started setting my clock 30 minutes earlier so I could say my prayers and talk with God about the things that were bothering me. Then I started going to bed about 30 minutes earlier so I could go over the day with God as well.
These helped and of course are great starts. I will be beginning Bible study soon and will be sharing that with you as we’ll. One thing I have discovered with both religion and with God is that no matter how many times you have to start over, you can. All is forgiven and everything is fresh and new. Making time, and I mean really making time for God is something that I haven’t done in I can’t remember when but I am doing it. Day by day, minute by minute.

How do you schedule time with God?
I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.

Though I do my best to carry God with me during my day, I forget to take the time, or enough time to talk with him. And the sad thing is I have the time, could make the time, but don’t take the time. I don’t know why. I do know that I am having a hard time with my faith right now. I/we are having so many hardships that I don’t understand. Thank you for this important reminder. You are always an inspiration.

That sounds like a great schedule…I really like the idea of blocking out your shower time, as it’s something that definitely won’t get pushed aside due to be being busy. Might have to try it myself.

I don’t really do a religion that’s like this, but it is very important to make time for reflection and contemplation, time that is hard to come by. When my family was home and so busy, I also woke up early enough to have a bit of time in the mornings. Ill be looking forward to your posts about scheduling Faith Time.

When I schedule time with God, I certainly benefit from it because I feel renewed after praying and talking to God about my problems, and the peace I feel after spending time with God is priceless!

Since we moved to Texas, we haven’t found a church that we feel like we belong to yet. We tried going to some of them here, but we need to try some more. How I plan now, I try to speak to God daily lately. But I do want to find our church soon. I have been going to church regularly for years, and I miss it.

Praise God for always being forgiving we truly have an awesome God. One thing that has really helped me is to have a Bible that has daily readings. For the first time in my life I am trying to read the entire Bible. I am only one day behind. Next year I plan to read it again maybe at a slower pace.

I try to take time in the evening before bed to go over my day with God. Sometimes it just random things that happened during my day, other times it something I am struggling with. I will be honest and say that there are days I have difficulty understanding his plan. Those are the days when I am in so much pain from my Fibromyalgia that I don’t think I can take much more pain. I know there are others who are worse off then I am. So usually I end up counting my blessings.
