I have shoulder length hair and while that is great it is a little thin in some places and there are times when I really want my hair to look a little fuller. I can tease it but if you have hair as curly as mine is you really don’t want to tease that hot mess. The alternative is extensions and I have used those before a few times. they get the job done but they can be a pain to put in. That is one of the reasons I really wanted to try Secret Extensions by Daisy Fuentes which unlike most traditional removable extensions which use clips, they use a “revolutionary patented headband” to allow for easier application and removal. Made from an “all new keratin conditioned fiber that moves like, feels like, and looks like the real thing,” the length of Secret Extensions are a moderate 16 inches long.
I received two different colors because my hair is actually two different shades (Medium Brown and Dark Brown) and I knew that blending the two would be easier than try to blend just one. Although they do have a color blend guarantee! I was a little nervous about the headband and how well it would stay in. My head is as round as a basketball and sometimes these sort of headbands roll up and slide out. I could just see myself sitting in church and everything falling out. The headband feels more like a thin piece of elastic that easily slides into place. I decided to try them out around the house at first just in case something fell out.
Like I said the headband slides in easily and all you have to do is put it on and then pull some hairs over it so that you can hide the band. At first the band actually showed but I discovered that if I pulled those a little more hair and actually played with it a bit it would hide. I think this is simply learning to use the hair properly rather than a default in the product. It does feel very much like real hair and doesn’t feel weighted down. I have had some that felt like I had put an extra five pounds of weight on my head.
You can brush, style, and wash these extensions. In fact you can brush them while you are wearing them but you should keep your hand on the headband so you don’t pull it out. I will tell you that it is much easier to brush and style these when they are lying flat on your counter than one you have them in your hair. The reason is because they do actually slide off if you pull too hard. I wore these around the house all day and they did not slide out at all but I will be honest and say that anytime I wear them out and about I slide two little bobby pins in each side just in case. I have children who love to pull mommy’s hair and I would hate for them to pull mine out!
I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.

I like that this uses a headband and not cips, more delicate on the hair and easier to work with and remove. I would love to try these myself as i like to achieve a much fuller look at times too.

These look fabulous! I think it would be fun to try them on a night out or some special occasion. I like how easy these are to put in. Not like some I have seen. Plus I am sure they don’t cost half as much as some others. Thanks for the review!

I’ve never tried hair extensions before. Like you, my hair is very thin. For some odd reason, it seems to get really thin every fall. I have no idea why but it happens like clockwork. The extensions make a noticeable difference. I’m wondering how long it took to put them in?

These are so super neat!! I like that you can’t see them & they blend in so well with your hair color!! I would have never known you were wearing them had I not read this post!

My extension just falls out. The back is far too big for my small head.
