Fiesta is the Spanish word for party, however, I learned that a fiesta in Latino culture doesn’t always have to be a big party. Anytime family and friends get together it’s a fiesta and we have plenty of them. The one thing that I have loved being married to my husband is how important family and community are to him. Of course the food is pretty great as well! We make a point to have at least one meal together every single day. Even if hubby is working out of town, he calls. When we are all together the meals are lively and fun. We all talk a lot and tend to be loud at time. I remember in a move once the American wife asked her Latino husband why everyone was yelling and his response was that they were not yelling they were conversing. Luckily my family was that loud before I married my husband so it is all natural to me.
Sierra Mist has teamed up with Chef Aarón Sánchez (star of Food Network’s Chopped and Heat Seekers) to create Comer Juntos: Una Tradición Natural (Eating Together A natural Tradition) a program that is designed to encourage families to eat together at the dinner table and share fun times over delicious Latin-inspired dishes. I love the idea of it and I love that I can get some recipe ideas! Don’t worry if you don’t speak or read Spanish. When you visited the site you have the option of choosing English or Spanish!
“Some of my favorite memories bring me back to cooking in the kitchen with my mom, it inspired me to become a chef and that’s a testament to the power of food and family” – Aarón Sánchez.
When I started writing this post I knew I was going to share a video two but you let me tell that selecting them was super hard because they all made my mouth water! The first one is for Mexican Chocolate Pudding Cake and “OH MY WORD!” This sounds so good that I am going to the store and getting the stuff to make it. The second is Pina Punch which would be great this weekend for our Cinco de Mayo Fiesta!
Sierra Mist Natural and Chef Aarón Sánchez have also teamed up with me and Latina Bloggers Connect to offer 1 Rita Reviews reader the following items: White Sierra Mist T-Shirt, Green sierra Mist Coolers, Signed Cookbooks, Frisbee and a Sierra Mist Bag. Enter below for your chance to win.

I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.
