Silver Dolphin Books

Aug 10, 2017 | Rita

Reading is something that we love to do in my house if you haven’t already notice by all the recent book posts. It is a love that was instilled in me from a very early age and one that I share with my children as well as other children I come in contact with. Books are my go-to gifts of choice and I can spend hours in a library or bookstore. That is why I am currently loving the books we received from Silver Dolphin Books. These books are simply the sweetest (yes I think books are sweet) and most endearing books for children that I have seen in a while.

Perfect Books for Kids

Silver Dolphin Books has published award-winning activity, novelty, and educational nonfiction books for preschoolers to 12-year-olds for almost 20 years. That is one of the reasons they are your go to publisher (in my opinion) for children’s books. They focus on creating books that engage and inspire children to learn more about the world around them. All the while fostering a love of reading, exploration, and creative expression.

Popposites!: In the Wild is a fun book because it is a pop up book and let tell you that I love these types of books. Maybe it is something from my childhood or maybe not. I have no idea I just know that I enjoy them.  Here we go into the jungle to learn about the animals that are there.

Whether they are tall or short or anything in-between. The kids love the animals as they pop up and I enjoy that they get fun animal facts while they read. You couldn’t ask for more in a book I don’t think.

Dig, Dig, Digger! was a fun book because there are six different sounds. Add in that it is all about construction and this book is a little boy’s dream. I love books that allow the kids to be a part of the story and this one does it by having them push the little button for whatever sound depending on the page we are on. Of course I have to make them take turns doing it.

Rather than people the workers are different animals which I enjoy as well. I can point out the animal and have the kids tell me what it is. IT is like learning and reading all rolled into one. I do that will not only the animals but the items in the book as well like the wheel barrow. We try to start early around here.

The Woodworks Nursery Rhymes: Old MacDonald Had a Farm book was super interactive. It features the classic children’s song but that is not all. You also get a wooden tractor which I can tell you now that Sam loves.

On top of all that there is a plastic mat of the “farm” that you can drive your tractor around on. It is fun and we read the book as he acts out the parts driving from animal to animal.

CONNECT WITH SILVER DOLPHIN BOOKS

There are so many books to love over at Silver Dolphin Books and I know that we will be checking them out for many more. With the holidays coming I need to get myself organized and figure out who is getting what.
