For those of you who don’t already know I am Roman Catholic. What does that mean in relation to this product? Well not so long ago women had to cover their heads anytime they entered the church. Yep my mother covered her head every single time without fail. The church did away with that but it making a come back. I have several mantillas that I use from time to time so for the Silver Mantilla and Catholic Veil wasn’t that much of a leap. A big thanks to Ma for posing for the pics for me. She did refuse to change her shirt though! 😉
One of the first things you will notice is just how fine the detail is on this. It so pretty that I was afraid to wear it. I have a black one that I save for funerals. There is nothing really to it, in fact, it is pretty plan and boring. I think this will be my new funeral one. It just screams elegance.
Now this just sits on your head. There isn’t anything else that you do with it. I have a couple that I have to actually pin in place but I love that I don’t have to do that with this one. It does not cover your face just the top and back part of your head. I will say the one thing I was worried about was if it would slip when I knelt to pray. So I put it on and headed to mass for the day. I went from the beginning to end with any slippage. If you aren’t familiar with the Catholic Mass, we move a lot. We are up and down more than most churches.

That is interesting. I wasn’t aware that Baptists did this. Thank you for the information.

My mother in law always has covered her head when entering her church. I love to see how nice they are and how devout they look!!!
