One thing that we love around is cute clothing for the kids. Well at least for the younger ones. Daniel is at the age where cute isn’t in his vocabulary anymore and Victoria is quickly heading into that same phase. But the twins are all about cutest still. Thank heavens!!! When I came across Simply Chickie I fell in love with their rompers. You honest to God have to go and check them out. After you read my review of course. 😉
After being diagnosed with Stage 2 Breast cancer, breaking up with her boyfriend, and finding out she was pregnant Simply Chickie creator, Gwen Gardner, began thinking about the things that she puts into her body. Then she began thinking about her baby and what not only goes into her body but on it and Simply Chickie with its 100% organic cotton clothing was born.
We received the Local Chick Romper and let me tell you that these pictures do not do it justice. Also do you see the amazing tissue paper that it came wrapped in? I love when a company go beyond the basics in wrapping something up. This romper (or onesie depending on what you call them) is super soft to the touch. It didn’t shrink in the was which is important for me. It is screen printed with 100% GOTS certified organic cotton with eco-friendly, water- based dyes. I don’t what all of that is but I feel better about it. It’s a wheat sort of color but awesome in its simplicity. There are snaps to make diaper changing a breeze.

OMG – that is adorable! I want a t-shirt with that on it – that’s so fun. I love that it’s organic cotton also.

Wow…What a backstory! What a brave woman, too! I like how she took her story to really create her company, and I bet the clothing is well-made. Cute design, too.
