I am certain you have more than likely heard the name Atkins by now. I think almost every one who had but did you know that Atkins offers Harvest Bars for snack time?I did not just make that up and the good news is we were lucky enough to get to try some. The bars come in four flavors,Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter, Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Caramel, Dark Chocolate Cherry & Nuts, and Vanilla Fruit and Nut.
All of these bars offer a simpler, low-carb snack with less sugar and lower carbohydrates than traditional nutritional bars. Not to mention that they are full of good ingredients, including nuts as the first ingredient, and contain NO artificial colors, flavors, preservatives or sugar alcohols. Now if that is not the perfect snack then I don’t know what is!
We were lucky enough to get to try all four flavors and my favorites were Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Caramel and Vanilla Fruit and Nut. I just loved how great they tasted. As far as snacks go I ate one of these and didn’t feel as though I needed something else right away. In fact I would have no problem giving these to my children. They are not only that good but that healthy.
I will be purchasing more of these to add to my bag when we are out having our adventures during the holiday season. I think they will be handy for when we go hiking as well. I can pull one out and know that I am getting the things that my body needs in order to keep going without having to worry about a lot of unneeded calories or junk. That is important to me because I am still trying to get healthy and be much more active. The thing is I need a snack to get through the day and I am not even going to begin to tell you what I use to eat. Now I am sticking with my Atkins Harvest Bars!
