Donating #SnacksForStudents With @champions4kids

One thing that I spend a lot of time trying to accomplish is instilling a sense of giving back in my children. I want them to understand how important it is that they give back to the community and to those less fortunate. that is why anytime I have the chance to spread a little love and giving back here at Rita Reviews I jump at it. With Walmart and Champions for Kids doing that was simple.

Champions for Kids
From February 16 to March 4, U.S. customers at more than 3,600 participating Walmart stores was able to purchase snacks and breakfast items for children and then place them inside designated donation bins. All throughout the store there were products with the  CFK logo on them that are perfect to donate for the #SnacksforStudents program.  Our local Special Education Classes are on the receiving end of our donations. These children (even when in high school) eat in their classrooms and require a bit more than just your average lunch. That is why it was so important to me to help make sure they had snacks and other items to help see them through each day.

All in all this was a great experience for us and I know that the kids enjoyed helping out some other kids that truly need a little extra help each day. There is still some time left today if you want to rush over to your local WalMart (check above for the participating links) and make a quick donation. The bin is located at the front of the store!

  1. This is awesome! I haven’t heard of the program until now. I think it’s great! What a easy way to give back. I love when big companies like Walmart do programs like this. Thanks for sharing this information. I will be sure to look for the CFK donation box next time I’m at Walmart.
