Sweet Potato Banana Nut Pancakes

I love food! That is the understatement of the year. What I love most of all is experimenting and trying new foods. Snazzy Gourmet helps me do just that with all of the food items they have available. Whether I am looking for Spices, Hot Sauces, or even Oatmeal Snazzy Gourmet has me covered. They say it the best:

The concept for Snazzy is not to offer a million products. We just want to offer some of the best in each category. These top-notch products include items such as Sonoma Syrup Co. Pure Vanilla Extract and Badia Campo Corto Organic EVOO. They are simply the best!

Sweet Potato Pancake and Waffle Mix

Snazzy Gourmet sent me some things to try out and is was all so super. First was the Shortstacks Sweet Potato Pancake & Waffle Mix. This was so good all though I must tell you I accidentally put too much milk and added some bananas, walnuts and just a tiny bit of flour to help soak it up. The package said 2 cups of milk and it was one of those mornings where I added the milk and then for whatever reason thought it said to add another 2 cups. I have never had sweet potato pancakes before but I will again. These were so good.

Stone Ground Grits

Next was the Carolina Creole Stone Ground Grits and this Southern girl loved them. I love me some grits but they have to be just right and I am pretty picky about them. I first had stone ground grits years ago from an actual grits mill in Helen, GA and they were wonderful but I must say that these were by far much better. They really were even my mother who hates grits liked these. Now I know that grits aren’t for everyone but if you have never had them then I would suggest trying them at least once. They are easy to make and with a little salt and butter, they are FABULOUS (in my Grinch voice!)

Sage Breadcrumbs

 

The Garlic Clove Foods Sage Better than Breadcrumbs and I must say I was at a lost as to how to use this. We used it instead of breadcrumbs to batter some pork chops with and it was great! I didn’t have to add any salt at all to the pork chops and the entire meal tasted better because the meat was so flavorful! I would love to get some of this and put it into a meatloaf because I bet that would be fantastic.

Finally was the PB2 Chocolate Single-Serve Packet which I must say was so much better than regular peanut butter. Although we have switched to Nutella, the kids all loved this and I ended up spreading it fairly thin on everyone’s toast so they could all enjoy a bit.

  1. All of these sounds marvelous! I love to try new foods too, but sometimes I am very hesitant about purchasing them. I don’t want to spend a lot of money on something I don’t like. Talking about the grits made by hungry. I think I will have to make some today.

  3. I like all of the products that you have listed here. I like the Pancake and Waffle mix. It sounds so delicious, and I like grits. This gourmet food website sounds so wonderful. I will have to take a look.

  5. I have never had sweet Potato Pancakes but they sound great. I bet the Garlic Clove Foods Sage Better than Breadcrumbs would be great on chicken breast. As far as the Grits go, this Yankee will pass. 🙂 It does sound like they have some great items that you could use to put in a gift basket.

  6. Snazzy Gourmet is a terrible company to work with though. I will never deal with them again. They lack communication with their buyers. They lied when a claim was filed against them. I lost money dealing with them

    • I am so sorry that happened to you. I had a good experience with them but it was on a different end of their business.
