We got some snow on Saturday but Sunday as you can see from the pics below. However Sunday is the day that we got out and saw more. It was last minute decision late Saturday night that super early Sunday morning we would get out of the house and spend some time just riding around and hanging out.
So we spent Sunday Jeeping. First we drove to Clayton GA an ate at The Dillard House. I think it is actually in Dillard. This was really good!! They serve you family style which means they bring plate and bowl fulls to the table but it is an all you can eat sort of thing. It is a little pricey but is totally worth it. There were nine if us and we paid $160 (a little more) and that with toddlers who ate free and an eight year old who was half priced. We were given sausage (links and patties), cinnamon rolls, various muffins, grits, scrambled eggs, biscuits, gravy, bacon, fried potatoes, country ham (this was super salty), and I’m sure I am forgetting something. One of the great things was that any food left on the table we were able to take with us. FYI- there are no pictures f food because we left at 6:30 am, it took two hours to get there and I was starving!
We then drive down to Helen GA and rose the trail on Trey mountain. We had a blast but I will tell you there a few moments when it got a little rough. We had a picnic lunch out on the side of the mountain and the kids got to do a little snow sledding. All in all we had a great day!
I thought I would share the video below with you all, it’s of us going up the mountain in the Jeep. The stability is rough because of the service road we are on. We also have a line of Jeeps behind us but you can get a little idea of what we did.

Oh Lord don’t let my brother hear you say that! He’ll be all “you should totally try to get my Jeep into a commercial!” Thanks, some of those ipcs were taken with a GoPro which was our first time using it. I was really impressed with how they turned out.

This looks like great fun! When we were younger—in the deep south with no snow—we used to like “mudding.”

My brother does the mud thing in his Jeep from time to time but I haven’t yet. Mud just isn’t my thing. It was a ton of fun.

It sounds like a great day! My kids will put their sleds on any piece of land with any kind of slope. If there isn’t a slope, they’ll build it. A little scared for the day they get their hands on a jeep!
