This week’s Spanish word is: relevante I am sure that you can all guess what the word means and is in English. Relevante is one of those Spanish words that translates across the languages.
relevante: reh-leh-vahn’-teh (adjective)
1. El abogado se opuso a la evidencia, diciendo que no era relevante al caso.
The lawyer objected to the evidence, arguing that it wasn’t relevant to the case.
2. Mi amigo me dijo que el deseo de ganar más dinero fue el factor más relevante en su decisión de cambiarse de carrera.
My friend told me that the desire to make more money was the most important factor in his decision to switch careers.
