Our word this week is one that every mother in the world is familiar with! The word is ensuciar ehn-soo-see-ahr’ (verb) which means to get dirty.
1. Subí al ático para organizarlo y me ensucié completamente.
I went up to organize the attic and I got completely dirty.
2. Conseguirle solución al problema de las pandillas en la ciudad va a requerir ensuciarse un poco las manos.
Finding a solution to the city’s gang problem is going to require getting our hands dirty.
I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.

I missed out on the opportunity to learn a second language while in school so as someone who runs a bilingual blog I REALLY love that this is a feature you do!

I could have used this word this weekend! It was nice out after several weeks of cold, snow and drear and my kids were running around outside both days. Yesterday they found a nice muddy patch in the yard and got busy making some good old fashioned mud pies!

This is an interesting phrase, encapsulated in one Spanish word. I think I would have a hard time thinking of contexts in which I would use this word. I guess it’s because there’s no kids in the picture just yet.

I missed this on Monday. I got this weeks word down. I am going to use it to tell my daughter to clean her dirty room. Lol!! She is going to hate me saying it to her in Spanish as much as she does in English.
