This week’s word is a good one! It is sumido soo-mee’-doh (adjective) which means immersed, submerged. Check it out in a couple of examples below:
1: Mis hijos siempre están sumidos en sus condenados videojuegos. My children are always immersed in their blasted video games.
2: El país está sumido en una profunda crisis económica. The country is immersed in a profound economic crisis.
This is an awesome word this week! My sister is getting married at our house on Saturday and we are immersed in all the wedding preparations. So I know I can easily use this word this week. Thanks!
Keep them coming Rita; love learning new words to another language
Thank for sharing the word of the week. My kids have been taking Spanish since 1st grade and my son opted to take it as an elective in high school.
Love it! So fun learning different languages!

You’re so fun. I love these words each week. Thanks for the knowledge.
Muchas gracias. I had a friend who took immersion classes in elementary school and she loved it. It is so smart to teach kids when they are young.
