I am a little late getting this up this week. It should have gone live first thing this morning. Anyway, here is the word for this week: La Voz bohs (noun) which means voice. Here are a few examples of how it is used:
1. No soy gran fanático de la música de Michael Bublé, pero concedo que tiene muy buena voz para cantar.
I’m not a big fan of Michael Bublé’s music, but I’ll concede that he has a very good singing voice.
2. El invierno pasado me enfermé con laringitis y perdí la voz.
Last winter I got sick with laryngitis and I lost my voice.
Another great word and examples. I was doing so good with my “studies” of Spanish, but not lately. Time to get back on the bandwagon.
This is the one that I actually know. The word “voz” is very useful; especially when talking about music. Another great usage is talking about someone who is shy, but then learns to have a voice. I would use this all the time, since I’m an introvert and often talk about how introverts need to learn to find their voice in a world predominantly consisting of extroverts.
This is a great word this week. I can use it to tell my son to quite down or he will loose his voice. He may not get what I am saying but I know my daughter will. Plus she will get a kick out of it! 🙂
I didnt even remember that word! I maybe could have understoof if I heard it but not this one. I like how you provide good examples!
I look forward to these weekly mini lessons! I need to build up my confidence to attempt speaking to native Spanish speakers. A lovely Mexican couple whose son attends daycare with my youngest has offered to practice with me, but I am too shy still.
Oh great new words to learn..and I have to say that I am a Michael Bublé fan, love his Christmas music..played it all through Christmas
I like to challenge my brain. I wish there was a way for us to hear you say it just so I get the pronouncation right.
