What to Expect when You’re Expecting is THE book all expecting mother’s turn to. When you find out you are pregnant it is the first book you go out and buy. Why? Because it answers all of your questions, even the ones you didn’t know you need the answer to. One of the best things is that the What to Expect website is just as informative as the books.
The website has much more than the books as a matter of fact. You can search baby names, ovulation calculator, track your baby’s growth, message boards, and so much more. If you are looking to connect or ask questions then the groups in the What to Expect community is the place for you. You simply create your account (it’s free) and then join the group that interests you the most. The site even has baby care basics for those who need some tips.
I was lucky enough to receive the 4th edition of what to Expect When You’re Expecting. This book has it all. everything from getting ready to conceive to dealing with a miscarriage. If this is your first child or even your third this is the book for you. it answers all those embarrassing questions, like what a plug is. I didn’t know but kept hearing women talk about losing their plugs.
For those with toddlers What to Expect The Second Year is a must read!! this book takes you through feeding a picky eater (yes it is possible to get them to eat something other than pizza and chicken nuggets), temper tantrums, and getting your little one to start talking. I love the section (page 204) on When to Say “Yes” to a “NO”. It gives great examples of when you can bend your rules a little and give in to your child.
{PROS} What to Expect has almost of the answers you are looking for, the website is fun and informative.
{CONS} the only con is dealing with your children without all of this knowledge but hey if you’re up to that kind of challenge more power to you!
{JOIN} Join What to Expect. I promise you won’t be disappointed.
{WIN} Want to win a copy of each book for yourself? Well you can! what to Expect was so wonderful enough to provide me with extra copies. I have included them as part of my huge Spring Into Summer Giveaway Event. Enter here for your chance to win.
I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.
