Do you, a familia member , or even an amgio have an idea how to make your Hispanic community better? Is there a Hispanic cause that you know will make your comunidad better? Well for the third year State Farm’s Neighborhood Assist is helping give people the chance to make their community better.
Empowering people to identify the issues they feel are important within their own comunidad. State Farm’s Neighborhood Assist is a youth-led philanthropic program. Sounds like an amazing program doesn’t it? I know in there are several things in mi comunidad that I can think of that really would make it better. We have a growing Hispanic community but there are so few things for us that we actually get together and plan things for the ninos! It helps us maintain our culture and sense of comunidad as well as feeling accepted. That is important for children within our communities.
How it Works
Beginning on March 3rd you can submit your cause to win 1 of 40 $25,000 State Farm Neighborhood Assist® grants. When 4,000 causes have been submitted (deadline of March 23rd) the State Farm Youth Advisory Board will review them and then choose the Top 200. The top 200 causes will then be announced on April 28 and if you have the free Facebook app you can vote until May 16 up to 10 times a day. That voting will select the 40 winners who will be announced on May 27th via the Facebook app.
Submit Your Cause to State Farm’s Neighborhood Assist
Submit your cause via the State Farm Facebook app. Be sure to submit early. You can also learn more at State Farm and follow them on Twitter.

I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.

What a wonderful way for State Farm to give back in several communities! I’m sure this will do a lot of good in a variety of areas.
