Summer Break + $1000 PayPal Giveaway

For the first time in a very long time I am taking more of a break than normal. Usually during the summer I take a vacation and that is all. This year I am slowing down some for the entire summer. That does NOT mean there will be no posts, reviews, giveaways, etc. There will be.

A huge number of posts I spent several months working on and scheduled them. I will still be posting throughout the next three months. The difference is a lot of it has been scheduled and my assistant is going to overseeing a lot of that.

Why, You Ask?

Honestly, I feel like a need a little break. Some time to plan and prep for the holidays that are coming in a few months. In my world those are always big and take a lot of planning. I want to reflect on the year so far and where I stand on the goals I made for myself at the beginning of the year.

I plan on taking it easy most days. I will be away for four or five weeks without the kiddos or the senior citizens. Just me, myself, and I! I have plans to do some lazy drives, spend some time with friends I only see once a year, and catch up on some reading. I’m going to the lake more and maybe a weekend at the beach. I also have a small road trip planned with the kiddos this month. It won’t be a long one but a little bit of time before I have to drop them off with their father.

Still Working at All?

Yes, I am actually still working. I am working for about three hours in the morning Monday through Friday and then about an hour or so in the evenings. Not a lot but enough to manage giveaways, handle any posts that haven’t been scheduled, check emails and messages. Little things that needs to be taken care of. I will also be doing some planning here and there as I said.

I hope that each and every one of y’all take some time over the next few months to enjoy the summer and all the things that summer brings. Stop and relax a little. Have a picnic, go to the lake, the beach, just get out and take a walk. Take the time to just breath and enjoy life.

  1. My eldest granddaughter has been accepted to my alma mater for the fall semester and I will be joining her on a trip to visit the campus and show her around town, I am really looking forward to the trip. I also plan to do a lot of reading and writing this summer

  3. It is the first day of winter here but I am looking forward to next summer and visits to all the beautiful beaches near me.

  4. I plan on getting out more, meeting up with friends and family. I also want to do daily workouts to reach my ideal weight.

  5. Well… here it’s winter. Since the pandemic is going crazy here, I’ll stay home.

  7. I will work in my garden mostly. I love doing it. Growing things is rewarding.

  8. Depending on what opens up or not will let me know more. We are hoping to have a small family gathering when we are permitted. We miss our sons who all live in different places. We also would like to just have some road trips and visit some other cities. But we will see.

  9. I’m going to be spending my summer relaxing at home, working in my garden, and painting.

  14. We don’t have any big plans. We might take a small trip, but we live in a great place for enjoying outdoor activities.

  17. No traveling yet so, we’ll be spending lots of time in our backyard by the pool. My nephew is celebrating his 5th birthday next month with a pool party too. 🙂

  19. We’re looking forward to traveling to Wisconsin for my nephew’s wedding. Then we’ll stay and visit for a while.

  20. The pool opens this year after being closed due to Covid so we will be spending some time at the pool

  23. i am not sure yet, i would like to take a beach trip! mostly just stay home though!

  25. I am not planning any trips this summer. We will be enjoying bicycling, hiking, gardening and swimming.

  27. I’m moving at the beginning of summer, then I have a few camping trips planned.

  28. My plans for the summer is to spend some time at the beach and feel the sand between my toes.

  29. I’m moving into another country, this is the first time i’m gonna be away from my family and first time away from my country so it’s gonna be a very exciting experience.

  30. My husband and I have road trip plans for several weekends and I’m so excited!! We love exploring places in our state that we haven’t been to yet. We find new restaurants, beaches and trails and always revisit our favorites.

  31. I think we will be doing some home renovations this summer and maybe take a bit of a trip if covid does not disrupt things too much,

  33. I don’t really have any plans. But it would be nice to get together with family again.

  37. We have several big family parties in the works for throughout the summer!

  40. I’m going to be spending a lot of time with my grandson this summer. We’ll be having picnics, playing games, and just generally and genuinely enjoying each other’s company

  43. We will be traveling all over Texas and a couple out of state to baseball tournaments for our two grandsons.

  46. We do not have a lot of definite plans yet. We do plan to spend a week either at Gulf Shores or Destin. And we have a canoeing long week end planned. I plan to try to stay cool while inside.

  48. I am traveling to Georgia next week to visit my grandparents! I am spending the summer working and hanging out at the lake.

  50. We will be staying around the house. No big plans. At most a road trip or two to neighboring towns.

  53. I plan to go to the beach, since my husband just bought a new house.

  55. Things are still the same around here so we don’t have big plans yet! A big project for us though is to fix up the fencing around our house, and I’d like to declutter the house and repaint the walls.

  56. My plans are to just sit around and stay cool. Hopefully have a get together with friends and family around the 4th.

  57. We will be spending a lot of time at the pool and at the zoo. We have plans to visit my sister and niece.

  58. My daughter and I have been doing treasure hunt in Maine. (we live in New Hampshire) It is to celebrate Maine’s 200th Anniversary. So you have to travel all over Maine to find the clues which help to eventually solve the Treasure Hunt, We are having a ball exploring parts of Maine and seeing places that we never knew existed. So that is what we will be doing this summer.

  60. I’m going to spend this summer in the countryside with my family.
    Enjoying nature, gardening, reading books and outdoor activity.

  63. I am homeschooling my daughter so this summer we are planning to fit in as many educational field trips in the warm weather as possible. Definitely a lot of nature trail hikes and farm tours, but also some beach tripsand swim parties.

  64. I’m going to spend some time at the lake boating and do a little kayaking down some rivers.

  74. This Summer I will hopefully be helping my MIL move to Washington from Florida. She just had a quadruple bypass and we really want her closer to us so we can spend lots of time together.

  80. Its good to take a break sometimes. My plans for the summer are going to a beach trip, and plan a little for my upcoming business.

  84. It gets extremely hot here in Phoenix, AZ. I spend most of the day hiding from the sun as much as I can until evening time. That is when my daughter and I like to hit the pool, do some shopping, or hang out in my garden.
