Those of you who have been following me a while know how hard I have been working to get myself fitter. It has not been an easy word and I now that I still have an uphill climb ahead of me. One of the things that has been the hardest is the extreme heat that is South Georgia. It can be difficult to handle but I have put together my summer fitness essentials for you!
Good Water Bottle
This is the top of my list and super important! When I first started walking and running I didn’t take one with me and when I got back I would drink like a gallon of water and had a hard time catching my breath. Now I take one along with me and drink as I need to.
Great Shoes
Running shoes make all the difference in the world. This too I had to learn the hard way, meaning after some blister due to ill fitting shoes. My Grandmother used to say “You only get one pair of feet so make sure you take care of them.” She was right and now with the right shoes I am able to walk or run and not have blisters!
The Right Bra
I am big girl on top and without the proper bra things can get a little jiggly (for lack of a better word) which can actually hurt. I learned a long time ago that the proper bra is important for any outfit but none more important than with your workout clothing. You need all the support you can get.
Those are my big three but there are so many different things I want and need truthfully. I didn’t really think about until I agreed to do this Summer fitness Campaign with Rasie.com. Rasie.com is the place where you can buy and sell gift cards which is something I need to check out! I actually have a couple of gift cards that I would never use and could sell them.
Then I could buy some gift cards for Core Yoga and some women’s clothing gift cards as well. I am in need of some new workout clothes and a couple of extra bras. That would make my day! I think I am going to head on over and get started.

I love your Grandmother’s say about only getting one set of feet. I am going to start using that with my kids. I think you nailed it on the head with your essentials list. All of these are very important to me. I probably lean towards a good pair of shoes the most. I worked for a shoe company for years and I know that the life of a shoe is only 3 to 6 months. Since I walk everyday my shoes only last about 3 months. Thanks for the info about Raise. I need to get rid of some gift cards that I won’t use also.

I struggle to keep up with regular exercise all year round, not just in summer! Time is my main issue – I’ve tried lunch time workouts but don’t really like breaking up my work day that way. And night time is not good either because I’m often tired. And I’m so not a morning person. I try to make it happen between night and lunchtime workouts as best I can, even though I know it’s not enough.

My summer fitness essentials include running shorts, my bathing suit, and a good playlist. I agree that the right shoes are VERY important. The care of your feet affect your back and legs…and so much more. Good shoes are totally worth the money.

I have a new sports bra that I just bought and it is fabulous! It definitely makes a difference to buy a good one….even for little gals. That water bottle looks cool.

I don’t wear sports bras, but good shoes and running shirts are important to me. I don’t buy cheap shoes. I also have a favorite water bottle.

I think finding a good pair of shoes is SO important especially for working out. Wearing the wrong kind of shoes can really mess up your ankles and knees! I think having workout clothes that I feel good in really motivate me to run!

My fiance has just taken up working out daily a few months ago, so I had her read this article and she wanted me to thank you on her behalf! She found it informative and helpful, especially with the bra part.

I’ve heard the saying about taking care of your feet before. The right pair of shoes for me unfortunately is usually flip flops. I’m addicted to them. haha

My summer fitness essentials are supportive shoes, a good sports bra, and a music playlist that motivates me to move. I also like a sturdy water bottle that I can take anywhere.
