It is summer time which means flip-flops around my house or as Maggie calls them floppers! Although I have heard some people call them sandals as well. I typically try to get a new pair each summer because I live in the south and am hard on them. I wear them pretty much every time I leave the house or go outside. So when RHEA Footwear asked if I wanted to work with them again I jumped at that chance.
They sent me a pair of their DUOS Candy Bar to try out and I am loving them! They are really lightweight on my feet which is important when wearing flip-flops because heavy ones can be hard to keep on my feet. The duo color is simply stunning. The pictures just don’t do them justice. The minty green is soft enough that it will match up with just about anything. However my favorite outfit to wear them with is a plain, simple white tee or tank and my jeans. Well at least for the days when I wear jeans because most of the time I am in shorts this time of the year when I go out.
The upper material is Microfiber while the double strap band gives it extra durability. The band base has also been reinforced with a special fiber that prevents separation from the sole. Something that is awesome cause there is nothing worst than having the band break on a pair of sandals. Now the midsole is EVA hill pad with extra cushioning for comfort and I don’t know what that is but it feels great!
The thing that sets RHEA apart is their NeverSlip™ outsole which grips on most slippery surface conditions. For someone (me!) who tends to slip and fall at the drop of a hat that is awesome! Their shoes have a 0.6 friction, defined as the “highest friction coefficient” by the National Floor Safety Institute, which is currently working to establish an official requirement for all shoe manufacturers. Sounds super technical to me and I am thrilled they now what they are doing.

They certainly look nice. My niece loves sandals (mostly ‘flip flops’) & lives in them all Summer, but I don’t think she’s tried these!
I like that the soles are non-slip. Very handy around the pool.
