You all may remember that I have been telling you about Brain Chase! To refresh your memory and for those who are new, Brain Chase is  a 5-week online summer learning challenge (that starts on June 22, 2015) for kids in grades 2nd through 8th in the United States, Canada and Mexico. It is a massive global treasure hunt powered by reading, writing and math challenges completed by kids. What this challenge offers kids is a learning adventure that is fun, personalized, and motivating that also includes a $10,000 scholarship and trophy to one “winner”. Sounds like fun huh? But what about those pesky summer vacations and commitments?

Well guess what Brain Chase offers plenty of flexibility! When you register your child for Brain Chase they are committing to do roughly five hours of focused online academic work each week for five weeks. The curriculum is web-based which means that your child can complete the work whenever, wherever, and in whatever order they choose. This is great for us since the older kids are currently in Mexico. They will need a high-speed Internet connection as this is an online challenge and it will work on the latest versions of Internet Explorer, Firefox, Google Chrome, and Safari web browsers. Which is another great thing because I can’t deal with any technical issues they have from this distance.

Another great thing is that will be able to complete math, language and reading assignments on tablets. Which is what I sent with the kids but also a laptop since either that or a desktop is recommended for the writing assignments. Kids cannot work ahead but they are able to catch up on anything they have missed. Which is great for all those times when you will be busy this summer.   2. I love how Brain Chase makes this summer learning challenge fun and a adventure! Great program to get the kids into to promote learning and keep there brains running during the summer break.

  6. I like the idea of continued education during summer break. My oldest granddaughter will be in second grade next year so hopefully they continue this through the years.
