I don’t how is for your children but Math is the one subject that gives both of mine a bit of a hard time. I am pretty good at Math or at least I used to think that I was. If you have children in public schools now you may have noticed that Math has changed from when we did it. I tried to help my nephew a few months ago when I was visiting and I have to tell you I was lost. There was a whole thing about regrouping and by the time I got done I needed to regroup. I homeschool and teach basic Math but this summer I am thrilled that the kids will be getting a little bit of help from TenMarks.
TenMarks Summer Math Program is for students grades 1 through Geometry and Algebra 2 and is FREE through August 31, 2015. It is designed to help them build their math foundation and skills and I for one am thrilled about it. Signing up was easy and I put both Daniel and Victoria in there as my two students. I wanted them both to benefit from this program this summer so I downloaded the app to both of their tablets so they could work whenever they wanted to without having to share.
The work is easy to understand and their is a video if they need help. One thing I noticed is how this program does everything it can to help them understand math on their own and I am thrilled about that.
Of course the kids love the Reward Zone because they can earn various rewards for completing lessons and more. It really helps encourage them to work hard and as much as I am not a reward for learning person (sorry! I get it from my dad) I like the idea of this.

I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.

As a former math teacher, let me saybyou are not alone! At least once a day I would get a message from a parent not understand landing how this “new math” was done. We got to a point of actually offering a couple evening math training sessions for the parents and always had a huge turnout!

I need one of those classes! I had heard other parents talk about the new math but until I saw it for myself I was thinking “Whatever!”

This is such a great idea!! I always struggled with math! I wish we had programs like this when I was a kid! Great way to keep kids learning over summer, and having fun while doing it 😉
Rita says
You know I wish we had them when I was younger as well but I am grateful that they are available now. I am all for learning during the summer but having fun at the same time.

Sounds like the perfect app to help kids brush up on their skills and keep them sharp over the summer. I have nieces and nephews that could greatly benefit from this app.
Rita says
It is the perfect app and I know that many kids will love it.

This is a great way too guard against summer brain drain. A fun way for kids to learn. We are going to get this for sure!
Rita says
It is perfect to avoid summer brain drain and the fact that it is free for the summer makes it even better.

I am so glad they have programs like this for my kids when it comes to math, cause I was never good at it and it was very confusing for me, and math for them has changed a lot since I went to school so when they ask for y help it can be hard and turn into a learning adventure for us both.

I like my kids to stay sharp during the summer. This looks like a good idea for my daughter.
