My favorite summer memory… oh that’s a tough one. Since I’ve had kids, my summers are new and exciting because I’m seeing them through fresh little people eyes. I would have to say that this summer, bringing the babies to see the fireworks and watching the amazement on my son’s eyes would have to be the best summer memory (so far)

Taking my daughter camping for the first time was awesome. She was so amazed by the ducks on the water and the deer are so friendly they kept coming right to our camp area. She was so excited.
My favorite summer memory is spending time with my cousins who live in a different town. I loved visiting them during the summers. We would go swimming, roller skating, and just have fun together.
My favorite summer memory is spending time with family from out of town. My cousins and I would take turns visiting each others’ houses for a week at a time. We made great memories swimming, roller skating, and just hanging out together!

I have so many summer memories, but I’d have to say that my favorite are from last summer. My son was about to turn 1 and just learning to crawl. It melted my heart to see him crawl over to our sliding glass door and look out at the bright summer son! So awesome!
I used to love to go crabbing on the beach when I was little. I lived a few blocks away and would walk down with a string and a sinker, tie on some bait and they would come out of the rocks. I’d bring them home with me in a pail of salt water to show them off and then bring them back to the beach to release them.
My favorite summer memory would have to be from this summer. My precious baby daughter is about 16 months old now, and since I’m a teacher, I get to be home with her all summer. Seeing her personality come out and having so much fun with her has been the greatest delight!
I grew up on a berry farm and every summer we picked berries! Great memories!
My favorite summer memory is from when my mom and grandma were still here. We all went to Busch Gardens. It was a beautifully pleasant day with a mild breeze. Everyone had so much fun and it seemed to last a very long time.
My fav summer memory was when I was 12 and we went to Disney world. It was our first time in a plane and all the excitement of disney was awesome!
My favorite is a canoe trip oh about 7 miles up brush creek in Ohio. My cousin never got to go to far from home with permission, but me and my brothers went every weekend. So we convinced my cousin to come along and so he did but he didn’t ask his parents. So when we got home his mother wanted to beat all of us. I fondly remember it more than ever now because that cousin pasted away 6 years ago!
I saw Dave Matthews Band 5 times within 2 weeks 🙂

Gosh I have alot of great summer memories but I think about 5 years ago we went back east to see all of our relatives and I took my kids and it was the first time they got to see aunts and uncles and cousins they had never met . I have a huge extended family so there was hundreds of people and huge picnics and swimming at the lake and just reminded me of when I was a kid and how much fun it was there .
My favorite summer memory so far has to be my daughters first trip to the beach. She is 3 months old and we take a year trip down to nc. When we put her in the sand her face was priceless. It was a mixture of shock and awe. She squiinched up her face and then has the biggest smile. I don’t think I will ever forget that moment
My favorite summer memory would be the 4th of July 2009. We knew we didn’t have long with my mom so we pitched in and bought a LOT of fireworks and had our last family BBQ. My mom just loved it! She had a great time even though she was in a lot of pain. We lost her 2 months later.

My fave summer memory was spending time with my parents and sister for a month! House full if kids and laughs. Singing at the table and dance parties in the morning. I wish we all lived closer!
My favorite summer memory is going in to the city with my son so I could audition for Who Wants To Be A Millionaire we go so lost and went to the wrong studio! We eventually got to the right one & I was able to take the test, passed it passed the interview & video interview! I was put into the contestant pool so now I wait!
My favorite summer memory was riding my bike to the beach with friends. This was in junior high and high school. We would ride down the river bed to the beach and hang out all day.
I love sitting outside on cool summer evenings, with a glass of wine, just letting my kids play and chase lightning bugs. Ideally, with the smell of dinner on the grill!
Oh so many fond memories…but I will go back to my childhood when my father and grandfather were still alive and any of the summers we visited my grandparents in Upstate New York are full of fond memories with them. And I just recently was looking over some old photos of them. Both of these special men died young and so their memories are priceless.
My favorite summer memory was this year. My family including our three small children enjoyed time in the Great Smoky Mountains at a beautiful cabin. What made it most special is that my six year old asthmatic daughter was able to climb to the highest peak in the park and was beaming with pride at her hard won accomplishment….as a Mother it will be a memory treasured forever!!!
My favorite summer memory as a kid was having no school so we could play outside late. When I stayed with my grand-daughters earlier this summer, I watched them enjoy the same thing–wonderful!
My favorite summer memory is when I took my kids to the beach and they had a great time collecting shells and playing in the sand.
My favorite memory (looking back) is the first day I headed out to the tennis courts with my brand new Walmart racquet. Frustrating as all get out? Certainly. But I was bit that day with a new sense of perseverance and passion for the sport, and can happily say that the old Walmart racquet still lives in my closet.
My favorite summer memory so far is my daughter going to a Bible quiz event in Indianapolis. Afterwards we went to Michigan to visit our family. We live in VA so it was nice to spend time with family. We had sleepover at my sister in laws house and the cousins got to play. On the way home we stopped at a waterfall in Pennsylvania. It was a relaxing time.
My favorite memory of this summer would have to be taking the kids to StoryLand NH. It was a blast! They went on their first ever roller coaster.
Favorite memory so far is going to six flags and walking behind my children. They had each gotten a super hero cape. Loved watching them flow behind them. Youngest even wore hers to sleep that night!
My favorite summer memory is from when I was younger. My family was big on camping. I’m talking spend the ENTIRE summer at the lake and only come home every couple of days for showers and to restock supplies! I miss having a slow lifestyle living in the country… now I live in a big city and camping is usually done for two or three days and you have people Right next to you camping….
My favorite summer memory happens every summer! I go with my family to Ruidoso NM for a week to stay in a cabin among the pine trees and enjoy nature and the small town life… it’s so much fun 🙂 Thank you!
When we were young we’d go out to our friends’ ranch house in the hill country in TX. We had such a great time just playing outside in the creeks and hills all day. We built forts and played pretend like crazy. I hope my kids have a place where they can play like that.
I always remember heading over to friends houses in the neighborhood behind where we lived. We’d ride bikes, play hide n seek until the street lights came on, go swimming…those were the days!
My birthday is in the summer, so many of my summer memories are birthday parties. My 4th birthday was especially memorable. I had a Little Mermaid birthday cake, lots of family showed up, and best of all – my dad caught a huge black snake right in our back yard. He held it so it couldn’t bite anyone and let the kids take turns petting it. Too fun!

My favorite summer memory is our yearly family road-trip to Myrtle Beach. We used to drive from New York. Those were good times! The whole family would be relaxed and having fun! I miss those times!

My favorite summer memory is a huge family vacation to the beach with my entire family a few years ago. My parents, 3 sisters, their spouses and kids, my uncle, and of course my husband and kids all went!
It would have to be pretty much the whole summer of 1977. My dad had a bunch of vacation time saved up so our family took a six week roadtrip across the United States. We went to national parks and saw landmarks and natural wonders (Mt. Rushmore, the Painted Desert, the Grand Canyon). It was a fantastic experience that I have many vivid memories of, even though I was just 5!

My best summer memories are from when I was between the ages of 10-12. My best friend’s dad would rent a hotel room for him and a separate one for us kids over the 4th of July holiday. There would be about 6 of us in one room. I don’t think the hotel cleaning staff liked that much, lol. We all had a blast swimming and having bbq’s. Then on the 4th we would watch the fireworks over the lake that was next to the Inn we stayed in. It was always so much fun. I miss the simple days.

My favorite summer memory is hard to choose. Pretty much every day this summer has been the best ever. I spend our days in the pool playing with my boys (5yrs and 7m). My husband doesn’t like to swim so I’m loving my water babies!!

My favourite summer memory is when we’d rent a cottage at Norway Bay in Quebec and in the afternoon my sister and I would walk out to the golf course and wait for our parents to finish their game. While we were waiting we’d have a pop out of the machine. The pop was in a huge cooler with cold water. You had to move the pop bottle along the metal track until you got to the exit and put a dime in to get it out. Whenever I smell pine trees it takes me back there.
I can remember playing croquet with my cousins on my grandmother’s lawn in the summer, such fun!

We’d play in the water, make sand castles and go exploring on the islands. I love sitting at the front of the boat listening to music (all those 80s tunes I still love) and feeling the wind whip through my hair. Ahh to be young again.

My favorite summer was the one where we went to visit my mother out of state. We were able to spend a full month down there and enjoy our time with her. It had been 3 years since I last saw her so it was so nice. It was also the time that we ended up bringing our dog back home with us. He was my niece’s dog but she had to move away with her mom and left him there but my mom couldn’t take care of him anymore. There was no doubt we would bring him back home with us and it was the best spur of the moment decision we could ever make. Great summer!

My fave summer memories occur on the 4th of July every year when we take a family trip to the lake to visit with friends and just let my two boys run wild outdoors all day and all night. Even the year we had a fire ban and could not light fireworks, we still have a blast!!!!
My favorite memory is during childhood is of waking up and smelling “summer”. Mom would get us all up and fed and dressed and we would head outside. I have 7 younger siblings, so there was always someone to play with. We had a wonderful, huge tree in the front yard to play in and a huge front porch, I’d hate to know how many hours we spent playing house on that porch!
There’s not a particular summer I can tell you about because my memory doesn’t work well anymore. However, I know every summer I spend with my grandkids is special. As they get older they don’t like spending as much time with grandma, so every minute counts.
My favourite summer memory is camping with my brother and parents when I was little. I have very few memories of my family all being together, because, later, my mother left with my brother, and moved to another province, so the memories I do have, well, they mean a lot to me. I remember camping in an orange tent, and all laying on our air mattresses at night, telling stories; I remember roasting marshmallows, and how my brother always loved them burnt black (!!!). Anyway, that is my favourite summer memory – camping with my family.

My favourite memory of the summer was taking my son and little brother to the zoo. We were able to see the elusive cougar- usually it is hiding. Plus, my son was fascinated by the tortoises and camel.

When we were young and lived in Delaware we would drive to Minnesota to visit all of our relatives. We had the best time swimming in the lake all day with our cousins. We always had the best times together! Great memories!
My favorite summer memory so far was going to the park with hub and our youngest for live music and fireworks on the 4th of July. It was so much fun, the weather was perfect and the music jamming. Laying on our backs and watching the fireworks over us was amazing.

Every summer, while growing up, we used to drive across country from Quebec to Manitoba to spend a month with my paternal grandparents. We had the best times, stopping along the way and doing some sightseeing and then, of course, got to appreciate a different way of life on my grandparents’ farm.
Lately, I have been dreaming/reminiscing of my backpacking trips through Europe and NZ/Australia. Having nothing to do but learn and observe something new every single day is pretty awesome.

My favorite summer memory from last summer was releasing Monarch butterflies. I’m hoping to raise and release some later this summer, too.
My favorite summer is the summer when I decided to travel to Spain on my own for a month. I met the most interesting people and had the best experiences. Ever since that summer, I have taken multiple trips back to Europe. I really got the travel bug after that.
My favorite summer memories all center around when my family was all together. Before 1994 my sister was still alive and my mom and dad were still married. We went on vacation for over a week every summer and just had a good time. And my parents always took us one place to learn history. I now take my kids to see one thing historical on every vacation.
My favourite summer memory is when I went to Malta (In Europe) a couple years ago and being able to see all my family who I hadn’t seen in years.

I don’t just have one favourite summer memory. Out of my five children, 3 of them were born in the summer. Almost any memory with my Dad is a good one, he passed away almost 6 years ago. I’ve had so many wonderful summer memories, I really can’t pick just one.
Some of my favorite summer memories were when my grandparents lived in Alaska. I would fly from Arkansas to Alaska to spend time with them, traveling the state. We got to stay for two weeks on Kodiak Island, the black sand beaches were amazing! Also, we went to Prudhoe Bay where the pipeline starts. It was so beautiful, and I would love to go back again someday!
I haven’t done a lot this summer but my favorite memory is the day my grandchildren all got together and spent the day outdoors playing in his bounce house/waterslide and did various activities outside. They had so much fun that day.
My favorite summer memory was watching my daughter dive off the dock at camp.I was so excited and proud to see her expression when she surfaced the water. She was pretty proud of herself as well.

my favorite summer memory is our family trip to the beach. watching my boys jumping waves, swimming in the ocean and playing in the sand will forever be etched in my mind.
A favorite summer memory of mine as children/teens was just hopping on our bicycles and being gone for most of the day and evening. We would ride to other friend’s homes, to the park, to the beach or just off into the woods to find treasures.
A couple years ago we took our kids out west and did a road trip that started with the Grand Canyon. We also went to Page, Zion, Las Vegas and Sedona among other places. It was an awesome trip.
My favorite memory is playing outside as a kid until it got too dark to see, catching fireflies and pitching a tent in the yard with the other neighborhoiod kids.
My kids and I, in the beginning of summer, went down to visit my Dad, friends and relatives in South Carolina. We stayed for a little over two weeks and had a blast. We went swimming, fishing, fishing and more fishing, went out mostly every night to someones house for dinner, went boating and did so much more. We really had a wonderful time and loved being with my Dad.
My Summers have been really boring, but I guess my favorite would have to be when I was in in middle school, my family went to Six Flags one Summer. My twin sister and I got motion sickness pretty badly so we didn’t ride a lot of rides. 🙁 That was the last time we went, and I regret not riding a lot of rides!
My favorite would have to be meeting my future husband. I was 17 and ran into a friend in the parking lot of the local grocery store. He introduced me to his cousin that had just moved to town…and 32 years later we are still together. It was a hot August day that I will never forget.
My favorite summer memory is the time my extended family rented a big house on the beach. We had a wonderful time playing in the surf, making sandcastles, cooking amazing meals, and just enjoying being together.
My favorite summer memory is going to a Red Sox game 4 years ago with my husband. We drove to Boston and I got to experience my first in real life game. I was pregnant and tired but it was still the most fun I’ve ever had at a sporting event!

My favorite summer memory was last summer. Myself and my hubby went to a festival. Just the two of us no kiddies. We stayed in out 1982 camper van. Well what a fun time we had. Walked out late to listen to a band play. It was so warm and we had so much fun. Definally a time to remember.

This is a “simple” memory, but I loved summers growing up with all the neighbor kids. I grew up in a small town so I could be out with my friends all day and well into the night riding our bikes and playing games without any worries!
My favorite summer memory from childhood is camping with my Dad. I would run around all day long with my cousins and then look forward to a bon-fire at night. The taste of smores always brings back those memories. I drove by the old camping ground recently and it looked so much smaller! Isn’t that always the case?
Favorite summer memory would be our last backyard BBQ with the kids. Swimming in the pool for hours and roasting marshmallows on the fire when it got dark. It was so much fun!

My favorite summer memory is when my son was two (long time ago) it was so fun watching him explore and experience things for the first time. I took him home to Ct with me and his face was priceless when he first saw the ocean. I love these memories espec now that he is a grown man.
My favorite summer memory was last year when we took our girls to Disney – they were in such awe of meeting their favorite characters. I loved seeing their faces each time they came around a corner and saw something else that completely amazed them. I got some of the best pictures that week!
My favorite summer memory is going to the beach as a child and being SLATHERED in sunscreen. I would always slip through my mom’s grasp and get into the water… and cry because I hated being splashed!
My favorite summer memories are of my visits to my grandparents! I got to see and catch up with cousins, eat lots of fresh strawberries right out of my grandmother’s garden and often had a pet rabbit from the ones my grandfather raised.
When we were kids my family, aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends…would get together at a provincial park. We would get there first thing in the morning and stay all day playing, swimming, eating and catching up on things. We always had a great time.

We got to do all kinds of things we weren’t really allowed to do at home: sleep in until whenever, stay in our bathing suits all day, and drink soda. We even got to pick out all the weird flavors (peach, strawberry, etc.) of soda from the grocery store when we got there. I don’t know why I thought that was so special, I guess just because we weren’t allowed it at home, but man! It was fun. I still love to be in the ocean, so living in Arizona is seriously killing me! It’s like a giant beach with no payoff…

My favorite summer memory was representing Wisconsin as the 2001 Miss Wisconsin National Pre-Teen. I got to travel around Wisconsin and participate in some very neat activities to help our state.
Well I guess my favorite summer memory is from last year, not only I got Married on June, but we moved from Puerto Rico to Washington State that’s like 3,800 miles or something… so you can now is a BIG change for me. If I have a kid on Summer maybe that will top it out, but until know thats my best and must precious summer memory 🙂
My favorite summer memory was when we took our daughter to Disney World for the first time. She was 3 years old and it was wonderful to see Disney through her eyes.
I have many fun memories of summer with my dad (I only saw him in the summers), but the best memory is probably from this summer. My son’s birthday is July 18th and he never gets anyone but family at his parties. This year my mom moved back in February to Arizona (24hr drive away) so we only have my 2 brothers left up here (hubby’s family lives in Texas). Due to my mom moving and my brothers work schedules we thought no one would celebrate my son’s birthday (who just turned 7). I found out a little after my mom left that my dad and stepmom were coming out for my son’s birthday! They haven’t driven here (Idaho, they are in South Dakota) since my husband and I got married 7yrs ago, so it was a great surprise and they also brought my grandma who has never been here! My son was beyond excited to spend 3 days with Gramps and Grams. We went all over Spokane, Wa and did a lot of fun things. I think my son and I will always remember the fun he had, and the first birthday he celebrated with Gramps and Grams!
The first summer (last summer) we took our three kids camping to a family reunion (mine) is my favorite memory. They’d never swam in a lake before, and all three of them were tickled pink by the water, and splashing around with all their cousins, aunties, and grandparents. 🙂
My favorite summer memories were the vacations that we took as a family. My parents would try and find somewhere to go that was different but still had a lot to do. We also had to make the trips budget friendly because there were 8 of us! My favorite place we visited was Colorado Springs, CO. It was so beautiful and I didn’t want to leave!

My favorite memory is my last summer with my mom camping. We took the whole family and friends and rented a cabin in the hills of Kentucky.The best part was a place called Ho-Down Island, they have outside clogging and line dancing. My mom loved it.

My favorite summer memory is from this summer when almost the entire family spent time at the beach together. It was so nice to have family in from Vegas and to spend time with them like we all used to do growing up. This was the first time my daughter has met them and it was just an awesome time. I hope we can do it again soon.
Some of my favorite memories are just spending days in the hammock with my little ones reading books, telling stores, singing songs, and napping. One day an elaborate musical was created about a princess living in the woods. I wish I had that one on video but I’ll just have to use my memory.
Mine is when I took my older sister to the beach for the first time. It was very special for her, seeing her happy made me even happier. It was one of the best moments of our lives. To this date she still reminds me every time when me talk of that trip to Amapala Island, she always thanks me for doing that for her.♥

I had the best summers as a teenager. I’d go to a sleepaway camp in the country. It was a great camp. I wish I owned the camp, but it was sold and now it looks pretty yucky from the pictures old attendees have taken and posted to Facebook. One of these days…

My favorite summer memory is when we were younger and renting a beach house down at the shore – my folks let us each bring a friend (I think so we wouldn’t bother them). We all had a great time – unfortunately, my dad is not a fan of sand so it was the only time we rented a home there.

I have so many summer time memories. One summer I worked at our local carnival it was so much fun. I got to get in for free and hang out before I had to work. It was one job I actually enjoyed working. Its crazy, I know. One summer a group of us went to a friend’s cottage for the weekend and we had some great memories there too.

My favorite memory this summer has been a trip to Toronto with my family for my children to meet their grandparents and a great grandparent for the first time since they were born almost 10 years ago. It was also the first meeting with them for my wife. My family and I are quite alienated so this was a great first start to a longer relationship.
My fav summer memory is when I travelled back to New Brunswick with my mom and oldest boy. There was a family reunion on my birth fathers side of family and I got to meet a ton of relatives and form new relationships with them..
It was a summer that I had to go to my grandparents. I didnt want to but ended up having the best time. Fishing, baking, playing in the tidepools. One of my best memories ever.

My favorite summer memories were of when I was a young teenager and went camping with my family. I always met new friends & it was great to be out & about without having technology to distract us.
My favorite summer memory is one that we get to live over and over again every summer…going camping on the lake. We do this every year and have since I was a child. We are expecting our 2nd child in November and cannot wait to share this tradition with him/her. I have actually been looking into purchasing a camera and this would be awesome to be able to win this in time to take pictures of our precious new little one!
My favorite summer memory has to be taking my daughter in the swimming pool for the first time. We bought her one of the suits that has the intertube sewn into it and she loved her independence in the water. She is always in the pool now and she loves to swim around and splash me while I sit next to the pool watching her have a blast.
The last summer with my dad was my best memory – getting my kids plenty of time to spend with him before he had to go. I miss the long talks about everything and nothing!
My favorite summer memory is moving into my first home with my husband. I was pregnant with my first child and setting up a home for the family, enjoying our new backyard…and waiting to be parents was a magical time. I love summer, it always has great memories!
I don’t even know where to begin with my favorite summer memory. I think I would have to go with the trip that my wife and I went on to California. The best was driving up and down the coast, along PCH and visiting our friends that live between L.A. and San Francisco. Second best was collecting seashells and photographing my beautiful beloved wife, during the golden hour, along the beach.

My favorite memory is going to Australia. Visiting the koala sanctuary, the whales, and all the sights was amazing.
I remember having my 7th birthday party in Israel at my aunts house. I think there were more dogs than human guests and a neighbor came and did magic tricks and gave me a stuffed dog as a prize.

When I was a kid we would swim every afternoon from 1500 to 1700. Since then I still love to swim. I think that swimming is my favorite summer memory. This will be great to take summer photos with.
My favorite memory from this summer took place on my daughters birthday. She finally rode her bike to Clark’s tree (Lewis and Clark) and back. We did stop for lunch but it is over four miles! She was so proud

My favorite summer memory was going to the shore for 2 weeks with my friend and her family. We got to play on the beach each day, ride and play games on the boardwalk, and at the time sun damage wasn’t a concern because we didn’t know better so we got a dark bronze tan. I had a lot of fun and worked through some homesickness and just breaking up with a guy at the time. It was a sunny, fun dreamlike memory.

My favorite summer memory this summer so far was being able to travel across the country to see our young adult daughter Amanda (who I am hoping to win this camera for) We are very very close knit and stay in close contact however we only get to see her once or twice a year because we live in Michigan and she had to move to GA (soon to FL) so I went on my first commercial airplane despite a serious phobia because she is worth it, and went to FL my first time and spent an entire day at Universal Studios for our first time making priceless memories with my soulmate/bff love of my life husband Todd, our young adult daughter Amanda and her long time live in boyfriend John. Then we all went The Cheesecake Factory for the first time too and loved it.

My favorite summer memory is sunshine – I hold on to it and try and remember all winter long. Winter can be long here with long periods of no sunshine so I hold it dear.
My favorite summer memory is the summer my parents rented a condo on S. Padre Island and they, my family and my sister’s families spent two weeks together exploring the island, eating out, and having a great time at the beach. It was the first time my kids had ever been to the beach and they were so excited.

My favorite summer memory is of me and my 11 year old daughter. We went to Silver Dollar City this summer. It was my first time there. She has been there several times. I thought it was so funny, that I screamed like a little girl on rides, and she didnt scream once! lol
I have very fond memories of summers when our children were still at home & we would fish every opportunity we got. We would go early & stay too late & dad would be up cleaning fish & they wouldn’t be ready to eat until about 1 in the morning. But we could never pull ourselves away from the lake early enough to get it done earlier!
We used to drive to Kentucky and Illinois every summer. It was hot in Kentucky most of the time, lol, but it was fun. My grampa and uncle were jockeys so we spent alot of time at the racetracks also. I grew up on the backside of the horse track! 🙂
My favorite summer memory would be my birthdays. I am a summer baby and each year I would get a watermelon for my birthday. It became a yearly tradition. What started as “just a watermelon” evolved into something fun. We got to have fun together while decorating and carving and then enjoying the “fruit” of our labor.
Eeek! Another favorite memory is when my Dad got me a new Canon AE1 camera (back in the day!) and we took it out that night and took night shots of downtown buildings and the moon. After a late night we woke up bright and early and headed out to the zoo and the botanical gardens. My camera and I were inseparable. I still have it to this day…the camera and the great memory of my Dad teaching me about photography.
My favorite summer memory is playing down at the creek by our house with my little brother. We would fish, catch frogs and lizards, build rock “caves” and play in the mud. So much fun!
Driving up north with my family. My brother and I would get my dad so riled up because we wouldn’t stop screwing around and he would be furious. I don’t know why everything was so funny, but it was!
My favorite summer memory has to be from two years ago, when my family went on an RV trip! What a blast with 4 kids my hubs and myself we loved every minute of it. From renting the rv to staying at different campgrounds, to meeting some great people, and exploring the mountains and attractions of New Hampshire. We also managed to stay during a hurricane, a rarity in those parts, and had quite the experience. Hopefully, next year we can relive the RV experience without the hurricane!
Recently it’s camping in Maine. We usually stay in hotels but this last time we stayed in a really nice campground and it was just one of the best family trips we had in a very long time!
Last summer we moved to Boston, but I was pregnant and not real interested in making the trek to the ocean. This summer we finally went to Revere beach for the sand castle festival and loved it! The water was freezing and waveless, but it didn’t stop us from swimming (the baby hated having his toes in the water) and the sandcastle were still sandy mounds, but the way was perfect none the less.
We just took the kids to GoKarts and they had never been – it was so fun for them. We had a blast and the memories were priceless.
My favorite summer memory is lounging by the pool with my family and friends in my wooded backyard in Connecticut. It’s such a peaceful and relaxing place and there’s only good vibes out there. We used to always play Bob Marley and other reggae to transport us to a tropical island. Surrounded by lush greenery and enormous trees, it always felt like we were really on our own private island.
My favorite summer memory is spending a week on a houseboat on Lake Shasta. The weather was gorgeous every day except for one evening when we had an incredible lightning storm. It was scary but wonderful at the same time!
It’s been such a great summer. My favorite memory is a trip to the zoo with my husband. Our zoo just got a new mountain lion and she came out to see us. She was so beautiful. I’m so glad they were able to rescue her.
My favorite summer memory is taking my boys to the beach and Sea World this summer. We didn’t get lots of time, but the time we spent there was fun and I loved seeing my boys have a great time.
One of my favorite summer memories is of traveling to Myrtle Beach with my then best friend. We had so much fun walking around on the boardwalk and to all the shops.
Going to an amusement park by our house. See all the lights on the rides at night, I was amazed!!!! The sounds, the sights, and smells.
One of my favorite memories is going cherry and blueberry picking with my family. It was our first outing with our four month old daughter. I never realized blueberries could taste so fresh and delicious! Now I’m a fan of farm fresh fruit! It’s good for my family and I wish I could have taken some photos because it was so scenic.
My favorite summer memory is taking the kids and grandparents to the mountains. My kids went fishing with Grandpa and played in the water with Grandma. We enjoyed eating together and watching old movies every evening.
I love the times that I get to spend with my kids and hubby at the beach. We have such a relaxing time and get to eat some really good food.

My favorite memories of summer is when I was a kid. My parents always had a camper and we would spend the whole summer in a campground, there was swimming and a rec hall. It was so much fun.

I loved going to Girl Scout camp and also church camp. I also looked forward to going to our cottage every weekend. I enjoyed being in the out doors.
This is our first summer with a wee little one and I am loving every second. She is growing so quickly and is quite the little fish! We love going to the pool or splashing around in our kiddy pool in the backyard. I haven’t had to work yet, so this has been a precious and enjoyable time with baby.
My favorite summer memories were with my siblings…we’d go down to the creek and find tadpoles and watch them grow. We’d catch caterpillars and watch them crysallize. We picked wild plums, apples, and berries and ate them til our hands and bellies were stained. We once took a kid’s plastic liner pool and banked up a “water fall” so we had a small pond, then used the waterfall like a waterslide park. It was wonderful in the woods and living on a farm with animals. I wish we could again.

My favorite summer memories from my childhood involve church camp. I loved going when I was a child and I loved working at the same camp when I was a teenager. I made some life long friends at camp and I hope my own children get to have the same wonderful experiences I did.
My favorite summer memory is of taking our kids to the beach each summer. They are now grown and last year we all were able to meet at the beach. It was just as much fun if not more than when they were little.
When my son was 3 – I took him to his first outdoor festival, we rode the merry go round maybe 5 times, he smiled and giggled and didn’t want to get off. The way his hand gripped the back of my neck the first time the horse moved, he was so scared but he had so much fun.
My favorite summer memory is our beach vacation to Destin, FL. My 3 boys absolutely loved it! I just love watching them dig in the sand and play in the water.

I don’t have just one. We went camping with all the aunts, uncles, cousins, grandma every year, starting when I was about 2. They still go, but I’ve moved too far away and I miss it.
My favorite summer memory thus far has been taking my 5 month old into the pool for the first time. He lounged in his little float with his sun glasses on and just looked relaxed. After a while we took him out of the float and he was splashing around like crazy. I love all these firsts!
When I was a kid my family had a family reunion at a lake. I was about 7 years old. My cousin and I floated to the middle of lake on mattresses. We laid there for over an hour with our arms in the water. Baby rainbow trout nibbled at our fingers. It was a very fun day.
My favorite summer memory is spending every day on my grandfathers sail boat. We’d go sailing even in choppy water (not too fun) and fish for hours. I learned so much from him and i miss him terribly. I really wish I could go back to those long summer days. I miss fishing and paddling around in the dingy. Those were the days 🙂

My favorite summer memory was last summer. Why? Because we married in april 2012 . Just a small – quaint ceremony. We had more family over in the summer and had an outdoor get together. It was all day. The weather was perfect. We bbqed and later made a fire. I sang a song I wrote for my husband and later our boys played guitar and sang their songs. It really was the best.

My favorite summer memory would have to be the time I spent two months in Venice as a college undergrad attending a summer academic program. Not only did I meet a ton of amazing people from all over Europe and beyond, but I experienced life in a new culture for the first time, which changed my life. I still think back to all of the adventures and new experienced fondly!

my favorite summer memory was a trip we took to Jamestown VA. We camped for a week there. My cousins and I would hop on the ferry and ride back and forth. I can still remember my uncle singing “He just caught the Jamestown Ferry” song. We met these really cute boys. It was the greatest summer ever.

Growing up we’d spend the week of the fourth of July at the family cabin. I loved getting to spend the day play in the creek and making s’more in the evening. On the big day we’d go into town for the parade and afternoon rodeo. So much fun with all my cousin!
I have tons of great memories of summers spent with extended family in cabins on Fourth Lake in Inlet, NY – the Adirondack Mountains. Hiking, swimming, campfires, walking into town for ten cent candy… it was a great place to spend the summer!
My most favorite summer memory would be seeing my grandson for the first time. He was born in April and doesn’t live near me. I saw him for the 1st time when he was 2 months old.
As a kid a favorite summer memory was my mom taking me to the library for the summer reading program – I loved the books, loved spending time with mom, and I loved we would stop for an ice cream on the way home .

My favorite summer memory was last year when we got to take a famiy vacation. We got to go the Carribean to a family resort and had the best time ever.
This summer it was taking our boys camping for the first time. It was great and we will hopefully get to do it soon.
I like taking my brood of puppies to the lake and watching them swim around and explore everything. They are so cute and happy there. We all have so much fun.

I learned so much from her and I still remember cooking with her, the nights on the porch listening to her tell me about life, love and boys. my favourite summer memory… being at carmel beach. i remember being so relaxed. the fog rolled in on an august afternoon, i could barely see anything, just the slightest shade of jade which was the water.

My husband is the only one of his family who lives in the US so my favorite summer memory was going to Cyprus for a month to meet his family. His brother was married while we were there so I was able to see first hand what a Greek Cypriot wedding and reception were like. And the food was to die for.
My favorite summer memory was going to Florida. I saw dolphins close up for the first time. I also was able to relax and find some inner peace which was very needed.
All of my favorite summer memories take place at our family cottage in Ontario. I was fortunate enough to be able to go back this summer with all of my family. The perfect place in my eyes, lake, sun, peace, and quiet. So many memories that I dream about all the time!
My favorite summer memory is actual many memories….when I was a kid me and my family would go to new hampshire and rent a condo for a week….a total of 12 of us in one house! it was so much fun camping with my cousins and taking train rides with my grandparents. I would love to go back one day, but my grandparents are past the days of traveling and it would just not be the same. But we all had some really great times 🙂

my favorite memory is from when I was a kid. my parents used to pack us all up and wed drive and drive for what seemed like forever to get to Enchanted Forest/Water Safari. and we’d get a hotel room right cross the street, and stay for three or four days and we’d go to the water park and stay all day. and when we couldn’t be at the park we would be in the hotel room, playing card games or reading. we did this several years in a row, and the memories still make me all wistful and happy.

When I was young I spent my summers with my grandparents. One of my favorite memories is exploring their farm all day. I can still remember walking all over their farm and seeing what I could find.
Going to the beach with family. Then walking along the beach, getting your legs wet up to the knees. Checking out the tidal pools for animals and checking out the shells.

I met up with some friends from high school and their families and we rented a HUGE house in Las Vegas, NV, with a pool in the backyard. We spent 5 amazing day and 4 awesome nights chatting, eating, playing games, and reminiscing. Wonderful memories and bonds created. We’re already planning next summers’ trip!!
My favorite summer memory is the summer I was 10, I spent an entire summer at my aunt and uncles. The whole visit was wonderful, but the best part was when my family came to get me and my younger brother jumped out of the car and ran and hugged me so hard, it was gratifying to realize he missed me as much as I missed him.

I’m from VERY rural Alabama, and one of my favorite memories was saving a mother cat and her 3 kittens with my daddy. It was pouring out, and my dad saw her struggling to try and save them. Someone had apparently dropped them off. He told me to grab some towels so we can dry em off and get them down to the basement. And, also to make sure we don’t get scratched up. We saved them all. Found homes for all of them. He is the reason I’m such a HUGE animal lover today 🙂

Daddy would load us all up(myself and three other sisters) in the back of his pickup truck and we’d hit the nearby country dirt roads looking for plums! The plums grew along the fence rows wild. We’d stop and check every small tree out as we went by. We had brown paper grocery bags and would fill them up back then! We had a ball and got to eat some really good, sweet plums! These plums are a rare find today! I will always cherish this memory…Of course we also went Blackberry and Mayhaw Berry picking with Mama too! What fun! My favorite summer memory happened last week. I took my 4 children to the State Fair. They had some much fun going around to all the different attractions and building. We also sampled a ton of great fair food.

My favorite summer memory is taking a trip to Boston. It was the first time I had been to a big city since I live in a small town. My favorite part wasn’t really the city part it was more the historical sites we visited. I also really enjoyed the trip to the science museum and Quincy Market.

My Dad worked on a ship, so he was gone alot. We always took a family vacation with him, and they were so special because he was rarely home.
My favorite summer memory was when I was about 15 years old and well-known bands held concerts in Central Park for cheap over the summer months. I traveled from the Bronx every few days for a concert. My friends & I would meet there early and wait on line outside for hours until the doors opened and we could run in and get seats up front. One of my favorite summer memories was from 12 years ago, when I took a road trip with my friend from Florida up to Indiana. We had an adventure just getting there because we were following her favorite band that was wrapping up a tour. I cannot think of a specific memory because it was a month-long trip, but so many things changed for me that summer. It was the summer I became a vegan and the summer I finally declared a major in school.
