This is a new weekly series that I thought and hoped you all would enjoy. It is just a way for me to catch you all up with some of the things that are going on in my life during the past week. Share a favorite post or two or pretty much whatever. It is just a way to reflect on the past week. There is so much that goes on in my life as well as in the blogging world that I don’t want you all to miss anything. Hope you enjoy……
Today I am offline 100% (shh….I pre-wrote this article and scheduled) because it is my birthday. I am one year away from the big 40 and to be honest I don’t feel that bad about it. I have more gray hair now and feel way more like 100 some days but the truth is I don’t feel like I have turned 39. My poor sister in-law turned 29 and cried so I feel like maybe I should react more to it but I haven’t. I am spending the day with my family, my uncle is grilling me the biggest steak ever and I have a small pound cake to celebrate. It is nothing fancy but it is what I wanted. Something nice and quiet.
Looking Back This Past Week
Well the biggest thing this week was the blog had sorts of issues which I finally managed to straighten out and then to redesign got finished. That pretty much took up most all of my week. We do currently have an iPad Mini Giveaway running which you will find if you look in my sidebar under Current Giveaways. I have spent most of the week playing catch up.
Looking Ahead
Monday I have a large giveaway running and I know that my friend over at Blushing Reads is going to have a couple of great giveaways as well. I think she is also doing an iPad giveaway and also a Kindle. If it is not there yet it will be. She always has book giveaways however and I know there is at lest one Sephora giveaway. Next week is going to be hopping around here so make sure you check back daily so you don’t miss a thing. 🙂
I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.

Well, happy birthday! I turn 40 this year. I don’t know about you, but I really do feel like life gets better- or at least I’m more satisfied- every year. I really am thankful I’m not in my teens or twenties any more. Life was such a roller coaster and I like simple now.
Rita says
You know I agree with you. I think that once you hit your late thirties you really start to live more. You finally know what you want out of life and have pretty much settled down.
Lisa Brown says

I never ever react badly to birthdays. For some reason they just have never bothered me. I like to celebrate in small ways too.
