Taking the Airbed

Feb 24, 2015 | Rita

Airbeds
One thing that I will be taking with me on my trip is going to be my trusty airbed! My sister in-law recently redecorated the room that I sleep in and there is no longer a bed so I have to take mine with me. I don’t mine though because my house is a bring your pillow house so it is no big deal. In fact I actually have been thinking about just waiting til I get there and then buy one that I can leave at her house.

I visit them at least once a year sometimes more and it would just make more sense to have one there whether it was for me or for another guest they have. So I have been searching the internet checking out airbeds and trying to decide which one that I want to purchase. Normally I would say that it would have to one that had a pump with it but my brother has an air compressor so he can easily do that for me. I also have a foot pump that I usually let the kids use because for some strange reasons they love it.

I am thinking I want to get one that is higher up if you know what I mean. I don’t want to have to get down on the floor every night. Also I am thinking of getting a king size one that way if one of the kids wants to sleep with me they can. Airbeds now are so comfortable to use and much more like regular beds which is one of the reasons we have more than one at my house. That and the fact that like a million people show up here at the holidays. I also have to decide how much I want to spend. I got mine while they were on sale and I know that I can get a great one for a small amount of money.

What are your thoughts on airbeds?

My daughter has one and I am surprised that they use it so much. Sleepovers are a big thing in their house. And for adults, a must. Sleeping on the sofa just doesn’t cut it.

The sofa just hurts! We use ours a lot as well. You never realize how much until you have one.

I have only slept on a air bed twice, both times while on vacation at relatives houses, and I think it all depends on the brand you buy and the style, some are too low to the ground, but the ones that a higher up seem more comfy to me.

Yeah that is why I am thinking about one higher up. I have one that is low to ground for when we go camping and I hate that thing.

We have had several air beds. I agree with going for the one that is a little higher up. They are much more comfortable then they used to be back in the day. I think everyone should have one for those surprise guest or for when the kids have sleep overs.
