During the last few years, TV production companies have released some of the most amazing shows the world has ever seen. Most people work long hours, and so they don’t have much chance to sit on the sofa and enjoy them. With that in mind, I wanted to highlight some of the most popular shows in case you have some free time. The last thing you want to do is spend hours looking for the perfect program. Select anything listed on this page and you’re guaranteed to enjoy your time in front of the TV.
- Breaking Bad
You might not have seen the show, but most people have heard about Breaking Bad. It tells the story of a chemistry teacher who finds out he’s going to die from a terminal disease. He wants to make sure there is enough cash for his family to survive after he’s gone. For whatever reason, Walter White decides the best strategy involves working on the wrong side of the law. Reviewers and critics around the world hailed Breaking Bad as the best thing they’ve ever seen on a screen. Make sure you don’t miss the opportunity to watch it and find out why it has caused so much fuss.
- The Vampire Diaries
Ever since Twilight first hit our screens, the world has gone mad for supernatural thrillers. The Vampire Diaries is certainly no exception. The story comes from a series of books that you can purchase if you prefer the written word. During the last couple of years, the series has become one of the most popular on TV. It might not have huge stars like Kevin Costner, but the cast is perfect for their roles. It’s the perfect show for people who love suspense, heat, and a little bit of horror.
- Prison Break
The first series of Prison Break impressed audiences around the world. The show tells the story of a man who has been wrongfully accused of murder. His highly intelligent brother gets arrested and sent to prison in the hope of breaking him out. Of course, there are conspiracies woven into the storyline, and things are not as they seem. People who only plan to watch one series this year should give Prison Break a shot. There are more than twenty episodes in each season, and so you might want to book a week off work.

Those were just three of the top series you could watch right now. Don’t forget there are many others worthy of your time. Anyone who doesn’t fancy the titles listed on this page might like to consider some other popular TV shows.
At the moment, some of the most watchable include Game of Thrones, Orange Is The New Black or The Last Man on Earth. All three of those series have received a lot of praise from the critics. Don’t limit yourself to genres you’ve enjoyed in the past. As anyone who watches Breaking Bad will learn, sometimes thinking outside of the box is the best move. The show sounds okay on paper, but it’s astonishing on the screen.

I watched the first two seasons of breaking bad and then I got bored with season three and stopped watching. Prison Break is on my list and I want to see what the big deal is about the vampire diaries.

My husband is watching a new series now, House of Cards. He just loves it. I just don’t spend a lot of time watching TV so my only go-to show is Walking Dead.

I agree Breaking Bad is fantastic, Prison Break was really good, have never seen Vampire Diaries. I’d add to the list The Americans – great acting, interesting subject matter.
