We have had some super crazy weather here lately, haven’t we? I live in the South and it has been very much like summer this past week but there is a chance of snow tomorrow. Isn’t that nuts? I will admit that I miss snow something terrible and while part of me is wishing and hoping for some the bigger part of me says please no because my hubby will be coming home and snow will delay him.
I have been thinking about all the pictures of the weather I take and thought I would help someone else have a chance to enjoy the same thrill come spring. So I am giving away another Canon EOS Rebel. Some of the features include:
12.2-megapixel CMOS sensor
Creates an effect 1.6x field of view and captures high-resolution images with exceptional clarity and tonal range.
Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 lens
With aspherical lens element, circular aperture and optical image stabilizer for incredible picture detail. EF lens mount for use with Canon EF and EF-S interchangeable lenses.
2.7″ color TFT-LCD monitor
Live View function and 170° viewing angle for improved viewing. Eye-level penta-mirror viewfinder with adjustable diopter control.
and much, much more.
I am running this a bit longer than last time because I am going to be away and trying to keep the giveaways that end while I am away to a minimum so I can have a little time to enjoy myself. Enter below for your chance to win. ENDS March 3, 2013 at 11:59 pm EST
Last year we had and unexpected snow storm in September. I took a picture for memories. I remember going out to my garden to pick the rest of my zucchini. Everything was destroyed the cold got to them. I sure was bummed. The picture did turn out great.

I got a panoramic shot of the clouds coming in over phoenix. It looks like another planet about to collide with ours!
beautiful pictures of the snow on the tree branches ..the winter scenery is gorgeous
My best weather picture was taken this summer. My husband and kids had spotted a squirrel trying to cool himself down in the 100+ degree weather. He was laying down flat as a pancake, nearly under the rear tire of our car…. the shade had kept the ground cool 🙂 Clever little guy, and made for a great picture because we Never see a squirrel lying still! You know it’s hot when…
My favorite weather picture is of my son in the snow at age 2. He dropped his train and made a tantrum snow angel, well kind of ;).
I absolutely love taking pictures. My best/ favorite picture is on a lake. The sky was beautiful and if u turn the picture upside down it looks the same bc of the reflection of the lake.
My best weather photo I took was probably when a storm had been passing over while I was shakerboarding for lil caesars. The clouds looked absolutely amazing, kind of like an upside down sea. If videos count, I managed to catch quite a few lightning bolts on my phone during a storm that killed all the power here in Montana. It was really creepy because everything was pitch black, no one having generators or emergency lights around here.
My best weather picture was one I took of our snow covered trees in our backyard. It was snowing and the picture turned out beautifully!
The sunset tonight!!
My best weather photo is definitely sunny on the beach of some tropical island….I really love taking sunset photos as every sunset is unique but ALL are beautiful…

Well I love taking pictures and I would say that one of my dreams is to become a photographer or at least something close to that. I love taking pictures of my kids and they are my little models. Any day is great for taking pictures outside. I love going to the parks and trails close to our house and just admire nature and capture the beauty in pictures 🙂
I have one from a few years ago when my sister & I went home to NY to visit our parents. It’s of her & I outside and it’s snowing. The snowflakes surrounding us are SO beautiful!
I’d have to say it’s a photo my husband shot of me holding our youngest child, who was then about 11 months old, out in falling snow. It was the first time she had seen snow and you can just see how magical that moment was from the picture.

On our honeymoon, I took a great picture of the sun on the island and storms way off in the ocan. We went to Turks and Caicos. It was awesome. It only rained on our last day there.
Diana

My kids in the rain
My best weather picture was a double rainbow I captured at home a couple years ago that was SO pretty. I love rainbows

Mine was the most huge, glowing orange sunrise off my second floor porch in the year 2ooo.
I guess it counts as a “weather picture”–I got a great shot of a double rainbow over the desert on a vacation some years ago. In the shot, it is bright sunshine with no clouds…and two rainbows.
I captured a lighting bolt with my phone camera.
My best weather picture is one of my grandson with his snowman.

I have pics of the flood in 2008 it was unreal!
I was forced to work during tropical storm/hurricane/super storm Sandy while it was skimming the Florida coastline. The gusting wind, pouring rain, lightning and crazy cloud formations made for some great pics throughout that horrible lame day. The background pic of my twitter profile is actually my favorite one from that day but only about half the sand that was blowing around would show up in the pics my iPhone took which is why I’d love a more professional camera. Hope I win, thanks for the opportunity!
A picture in the rain where i captured the raindrops on the persons face.
I don’t have any good weather pictures, i’ve never had a digital camera.
My best weather picture was of ice covering a dark red rose. We had an unexpected cold front move in two years ago and the roses were still in bloom. It was so pretty and unusually that I had to take a photo of it.

I have a picture of a thunderstorm. It is beautiful.
It was the dead of winter in Michigan during a blizzard. I was 20 and working at a 7-11. The old brick building across the street had a red door that I always stared at. Between the dull brown bricks, the grayish light of the mid morning and the whiteout the snow caused, that red door was screaming photo op. I positioned my cheapy 35mm so that a bush dripping of tiny icicles was in the foreground and blurry. That door was perfectly focused, slightly off center and I was lucky enough to catch a few blurry flurries in the frame too. To this day its my favorite picture I’ve ever taken.
I don’t really have any weather pictures other than a pic of a rainbow that I took a couple of years ago.
I have a neat one taken through the windshield of my truck.
Four years ago when we got a heavy snow storm and it was just a powder snow type. It was really nice how the roads were and how the snow would pile up in areas from the wind blowing it.
Last winter I got some great shots of the snow on some hills by my house. The snow in combination with the shadows from the clouds, and from the surrounding trees gave a really great effect.
During a hurricane, I was able to take a picture of the wind whipping the trees and other stuff through the peephole of our door. It was cool.
Diamond Head shrouded with the vog!

My favorite weather photo has rain on one side and a rainbow on the other.
I made my favourite picture on a really bad weather day in October on Iceland. I was hiking on Ejafjallajökul and it just stopped to rain and as the vulcano is really hot up there the water was rising up as hot steam and it really looks incredible on the pic. You should go up there and see yourself.

My best weather photo’s are the first crocus flowers that bloom in the early spring, even while there is still snow on the ground, those bursts of color just cheer me up after a long gray winter. Taking pictures of my garden is a hobby and also reminds me where those bulbs were planted when I add more in the fall.

I took a picture of some snow with the sun glowing through it

I just took a great photo of my boys on a warm sunny winter day!
One of my best weather photos was actually one that I took with my Blackberry. Remember, it’s not the camera (although a nice camera helps!) it’s the photographer. The photograph was that of a massive snow drift that had reached beyond the roof of the building where I worked. A tunnel had to be dug to to get to the door. This was in 2010.
I’ve never had even a remotely decent camera (and right now I don’t have one at all!) so I’ve never even tried to take a weather shot. I’d love to capture ice on bare trees though–I love that!

I love taking pictures in the Fall! On the way to my Mom & Dad’s house I stopped and got out of the car to take a photo of the trees and road. Posted it on facebook and everyone loved it. I was riding the ferry on my way to high school (which was several years ago) and managed to get a neat shot through the fog of all the cars coming down the hill and loading onto the boat. The fog was so thick you could hardly see the end of the boat, so it was just headlights coming out of a curtain of bleak grey.
:))))

My best weather picture would probably have to be when I was in San Antonio, and I was able to get a quick shot with a disposable camera of the rain falling on the river walk. Surprisingly, when the picture was developed, this “quick shot” turned out to be the best picture out of the bunch. I love rain, so I’m biased. 🙂
I would love to win this camera, as everyone else would, too. It’s such a great opportunity!
My best weather photos are of a snow storm that occurred about a year or so ago in Washington state. It was about mid-afternoon and the grey snow clouds covered most of the sky with just a hint of sun peeking through. Within 10 minutes the snow was coming down hard enough to cover the Alder trees, ground, and just about everything else surrounding our home. I managed to take some amazing pictures of large snow flakes as they were falling using just my cheap Kodak camera. I also managed to capture my two now 13 year old dogs playing in the new fallen snow. My pups are no longer with me so these pics are even more meaningful to me now.
