I just finished reading the book The DoveKeepers and I can’t begin to tell you how great it is. It was so hard to put this book down and I had to finish in one day. This book will leave you on the edge of your seat and tells a story that I had never heard before. Now that I have finished the book I am looking forward to The DoveKeepers 4 hour event series on CBS. It is going to be the epic event of the year!
About The DoveKeepers
Set in ancient Israel, The DoveKeepers is based on the true events at Masada in 70 C.E. After being forced out of their home in Jerusalem by the Romans, 900 Jews were ensconced in a fortress at Masada, a mountain in the Judean desert. Besieged at Masada, the Jews held out for months against the vast Roman armies. The project will recount the events from the perspective of a few extraordinary women who arrive at Masada with unique backstories, but a common bond for survival. Additionally, these women, who work together daily as dovekeepers, are all concealing substantial secrets.

I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.

I love stories about the Jewish people. I knew three women who were detainees in the concentration camps in Germany in WWII. Everything you have seen on TV or in movies does not begin to tell of their horrors. They were totally dehumanized. War is horrible, but it is amazing how some are so heroic Thank you for the heads up on this series.

I saw the preview for this the other night. It looks really good. We set our DVR to record it. I haven’t read the book but I might just have to after your review. I love when books are so good you can’t put them down.

I hadn’t heard of this before but it looks amazing. I love historical shows. The lady looks like the actress from a TV I used to watch – loved her as an actress.

Awesome show to learn about events that are based on reality, that actually occurred. Love watching shows like this where I can really get into it and take a lot from it.
