In our efforts to snack better I have been spending a lot tie searching for snack companies that provide snacks for my whole family. I came across The GoodOnYaBar and really liked what I saw. The GoodOnYaBar is actually an extension of The GoodOnYaDeli which was started in 2001 by Kristen Buchanan, a former Olympic athlete. Kristen created the bars after becoming bored with same old bars that she ate during her years as an athlete.
This nutrition bar is unlike any other on the market. Our motto is “Every Ingredient Matters” because every single thing that goes into each organic nutrition bar has a nutritional purpose. This is real food. It’s food from nature. We have been so conditioned to look at the #’s in the nutritional panel that we have ignored what the actual ingredients are! We have ignored what we are eating! Some people comment that our bar has too much fat. A cup of almonds has 47g of fat. And you can buy cookies that are “fat free”. We don’t argue with nature. It’s not about the #’s, it’s about WHAT you are eating.
I received 3 flavors: Peanut Butter Chocolate, Peanut Butter Honey, and Breakfast Bar. The one thing that I really liked was that each bar had it’s own taste. A lot times these nutrition bars all taste the same…like cardboard! These bars tasted very like the foods that they contain which is huge plus for me. My favorite bar was the Peanut Butter Honey with it’s rich honey taste. The Peanut Butter Honey is the exact same bar as the Peanut Butter Chocolate except it does not have the chocolate in it. I don’t know there was just something about it that, for me, was the best of the three bars.
All the bars (there is a total of four flavors to choose from) are 100% organic, no soy, no dairy, gluten and grain free as well as good sources of fiber and protein. What more could you want in a snack? I know for your kids to like it! Well guess what both of my children tasted my bars (yes I am greedy and don’t like to share) and they liked the taste of them as well although the chocolate was their flavor (of course!)

First of all I like that they are Gluten free. I have been diagnosed with a Gluten intolerance and this will be good to try. It seems like a company that cares about you.
I had not heard of my arthritis can be affected by what I eat!

Wow–these would make great traveling foods for snacking on the road. I am trying to “clean up” our diets and snacks are one of the pitfalls. Glad to know about these.
