The Haunting of M.E. by: Brenda L. Murray

The Haunting of M.E by Brenda Murray

The Haunting of M.E is a bit different from most books I read. It is about fourteen year-old Mary Elizabeth (M.E.) who wanders off from her family during a camping trip one weekend in Ontario,Canada. Her journey takes her parts of her soul she didn’t even know existed and it ends with a very haunting twist.

I must that is truly a good book, so good that I have loaned it to my sister to read as well. I really enjoy that it is written in the first person so you really get to understand M.E. and what she is thinking the entire time. I was so intrigued my the dark cloud she followed deeper in to the woods. She was thinking “No No No” but just couldn’t help herself. I think that is something that any one of us would probably do as well.

Brenda Murray has done an excellent job of writing this story. The characters are believable and she has managed to keep me awake for several lights after reading the book. I even had to turn the light on before I got up to go to the bathroom because the dark scared me a bit. This is a book that teens will enjoy as well as adults. The ending will surprise you!

Buy The Haunting of M.E.

You can purchase the book on Amazon or even at Barnes and Noble.

This sounds like a book my son would love. He really likes mysteries and scary books. Perfect timing for your review since it is almost the end of school and we like to get books to read over the summer. I will have him read it and then tell me if it’s to scary for me. LOL

Mysteries like this are just the type I want to read. It reminds me of the actual paranormal underground railroad movie that was just based off a town right by you Rita? My favorite movies lately so I know the book would be a good read for my daughter and I to share.
