If you were following my tweets on Saturday you know that my mom, brother, sister in-law and I all went to The Home Depot to do a little Christmas shopping. I must tell you that I went in without anything in mind. I mean I have shopped at places like Home Depot in the past for gifts for my dad and for Edgar but I really didn’t know what I was going to get. I knew two things: (1) I wanted to look at the Christmas decor they had and (2) I needed two gifts for “Dirty Santa” which is a game we are playing on Christmas Eve.
We headed to Home Depot and the first thing I found out was that no one wanted to be in my pictures! Bung of Scrooges!! So the above pic is my brother and sister in-law’s rears and as you can tell it wasn’t very cold on Saturday. The next thing was that I was really in the holiday shopping spirit. Most all of my shopping has been done for some time but there was still a few gifts to pick up. We all head into the store and I went straight to the Holiday Decor. Home Depot had some beautiful poinsettia and I picked up a couple to set out on the steps this Saturday (which is our Christmas with most of the family.) I always get overwhelmed by the decorations but I must say that I really liked how they were all laid out together. It made looking for things much easier.
Next thing was to find some gifts for the “Dirty Santa” game. Now the idea of this game is that you cannot spend more than $10 on a gift and it must be something that either a man or woman can use. No gag gifts either! I thought I would have a really hard time finding something that either gender could use but I didn’t! I was surprised when I noticed a display of portable tire inflatiors for $9.95! you just plug it into your lighter and inflate your tire if needed. I figured it would be handy for anyone so I got it. Next I came across some GE Water Pitchers for only $4.98 each! How super awesome is that? I got two and wrapped them up as one gift. It was so easy to find the gifts I needed without having to hunt all over the store.
I did have to ask for help one time but the man who help us was great! We needed some weather-stripping for the bottom of the front door and he told us which aisle number they were on by then when he realized he had made a mistake he hunted us down and corrected himself. All in all I was very pleased with the trip and we got some great items. The poinsettia are beautiful and the gifts were amazing. I know everyone will be fighting to get my gifts on Christmas Eve! the Home Depot helped me find all the gifts I needed for those uncertain peole in my life and I love the Kids workshops they have! The first Saturday of every month. In December, the workshops are centered on holiday projects such as making Snowflake Napkin Holders and kids keep their craft and receive a FREE Kids Workshop Apron, commemorative pin and certificate of achievement.

I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.
