To say that I love to cook is an understatement. I am always looking for new ways to turn an ordinary dish into to something better. My favorite oil to cook with is olive oil because somehow it always makes things taste better but I have never tried flavored olive oils until now. The Olive Tap is a premium olive oil company! Although they also have other gourmet foods.
The Little Italy Sampler that I received had four oils in it that are simply wonderful! The oils included were Italiano 100% Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Aceto Balsamico di Modena, Tuscan Herb Olive Oil, and Sicilian Lemon Balsamic Vinegar. My favorite so far has been the Tuscan Herb because it has such a wonderful Italian taste to it. I have used it in pasta and also on roasted potatoes. I also loved the Sicilian Lemon Balsamic Vinegar because it is great on fried and on baked chicken.
If you are ever in Long Grove, Illinois be sure to check out The Olive Tap’s flagship store. There in the Tasting Emporium and Gourmet Market offers unique culinary sauces, exquisite condiments, marinades, numerous tapenades and more. Not to mention the Spice Locker which is temperature and humidity controlled and offers a complete range of spices, herbs, and seasonings, all available for in-store tasting. The Olive Tap does have other stores located across the United States and each has a Tasting Emporium.
