Oh the dreaded search for a swimsuit! š I HATE that about this time of the year more than anything else. I would rather eat glass than search for a swimsuit. However I have to just that every year because for some unknown reason I can’t bring myself to use last year’s. I really don’t know why but that is just the way that I am. So the search forĀ finding the perfect summer swimsuit and long sleeve paddle suitĀ isĀ on!
I tend to be a bit shy whenever I am in a swimsuit so I like to go for the one piece or at least one that covers everything. After all there is no point in sharing too much with the whole world. However I do actually own a bikini that makes me look fabulous if I do say so myself! Now I don’t know about you all but when I go to the store to search for a swimsuit I take someone with me. Usually it is my sister or sister in-law because frankly they are the two people who will tell me the truth.
I of course also spend time on the web checking out the various styles and colors that I may like. I have even taken a swimsuit quiz to help me find the style that would be perfect for me. It told me that swimdress would be perfect for me because:
You’re elegant and stylish with a wardrobe that highlights your refined taste. Soak up the sun and show some leg with a gorgeous, classic swimdress.
Now I don’t know if I am really all of those things but hey I may be one or two of them and a swimdress would cover up all the things I need to cover. Hopefully I will have one picked out and purchased for next weekend when I need it the most. If not then I guess I am not going to swim at all but sit on the sidelines. Of course maybe my sister has something amazing that I can borrow!
I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.

I hate swimsuit shopping, i try to avoid it as much as possible, i have no tan and i am very skinny, i have been told i have chicken legs by my sisters, so i am not to excited to get in a two piece, i like the one pieces way better, and a cover up to go with it, i some times just wear a tank and shorts in the water. It feels a lot more comfy for me.

I never go swimming in public, so I don’t really worry about finding a swimsuit.

All I can say about swimsuit shopping is thank Heaven for catalog orders! I appreciate being able to try on in the privacy of my home. I like swim skirts and swim dresses. I have a couple swim dresses from Athleta that look like sundresses – cute enough to wear even if you’re not swimming. I throw on a bikini bottom under the dress and I’m good to go for a day trip to the beach.

I never did spend a lot of time swimsuit shopping. Even less now with 3 kids. Usually I’m looking for function so online for a suit for laps.

I have yet to find the perfect summer swimsuit. Since I have lost weight, I really have to go into a store and try one on. The swimsuit where I live are still very expensive for a good one and will likely have to wait until fall to be able to afford one that is very much needed as I do pool therapy twice a week.

Swimsuit shopping is always a pain. I really wanted a cute one piece, but I’m tall so it’s hard to find one that isn’t too short for me.

Our family just booked a cruise to the Bahamas and Virgin Islands for next spring. I will need to find a couple cute swimsuits for the trip – now is a great time with many summer clothes on sale.
