The Three Musketeers

 

Just when you think this all time classic could not be remade again!  A more thrilling and sensational version was released on Mar 13th. Set in the 17th century France during Louis XIII reign  Athos, Porthos and Aramis and D’Artagnan fill the screen with their clever conniving, skilled swordmanship and witty humor.

 

The story line has remained the same but the theme has the  fresh new idea of Airships added.  There wasn’t a whole lot of sword fighting which I both loved and hated. T me the sword fighting is an essential part of a story that takes place during that era as long as there isn’t a lot of gore with it. The actors all played their characters  well, the corrupt cardinal, the insecure naive king, and the bewitching Lady Dewinter. It’s a great family movie that keeps you interested the whole time.  The ending is a perfect set up for a sequel with  Buckingham….. well you’ll have to wait and see in Part II of this intriguing story.
