The Tyrant Strategy: Revenant Man (Jonathan Gillespie)

Feb 19, 2013 | Rita

The Tyrant Strategy- Revenant Man- Jonathan C. Gillespie- Amazon.com- Kindle Store

About the Book:

Trained from childhood, and equipped with alien technology, Reed Barowe ranks among the deadliest in the Serpican Police—a shadow agency created to enforce the fragile peace on a fractured Earth. A chance encounter in an isolated village will introduce Reed to a man who should be long dead, a tactical genius that might be mankind’s best hope for freedom—or its greatest threat.

In a journey that will take them both to a fallen United States, and into the heart of a growing revolution, Reed must decide: will he turn from everything he knows to help a man he’s been trained to kill?

My Thoughts:

The Tyrant Strategy is a present tense book which is important because some people love book written in present tense while others hate them. What I mean is lines read like “He said whatever” and not “John said whatever” It is the here and now. For me I am a middle of the road on these sorts of books.  Jonathan Gillespie did a decent job in this area. This was a good read and if you are into military style stories then this is for you. I am not that into military stories mainly because I grew up in that lifestyle and many times authors don’t get it right. Mr. Gillespie did get it right and I was very entertained.

Sounds like an interesting boo. I’m not too much in to sci-fi type books though.

I love any kind of books especially Sci-Fi types…. Hubby is Military and enjoys to nit pick if things are presented wrong so this may be one we could read together! Thank you for the review!

The description for this book makes it seem very suspenseful to read. I love books like that because they usually leave me hooked in so much that I can’t put the book down until I’m exhausted and fall asleep unconsciously or I read so energetically that I make it to the end in one sitting! This book also seems very much in the dystopian genre which I also happen to like. I will definitely add it to my to read list! Thanks for the review!
