I know it’s another Highland theme romance but you all know I can’t help it and you really know who to blame for this (not naming any names!) To Marry a Scottish Laird is a straight up historical romance novel. There is no time travel or anything like that. It is a short read or at least it was for me. I got through in a little over an hour and have read it a couple of times. It is actually one that I purchased for myself to read.
Highlander Campbell Sinclair is no stranger to battle, so when he sees a lad attacked by bandits, he jumps into the fray. He didn’t count on being stabbed. Grateful to the boy for nursing him back to health, Cam offers to accompany Jo safely to his destination. But when he accidentally comes across the lad bathing in the river, Cam discovers that Jo is actually Joan . . . with the most sinful of curves.
Joan promised her mother that she would deliver a scroll to the clan MacKay. But traveling alone is dangerous, even disguised as a boy. When a Scottish warrior lends his aid, she is more than relieved . . . until he surprises her with lingering kisses and caresses that prove her disguise hasn’t fooled him. As their passion ignites, will the secrets of the scroll force a wedding . . . and lead to a love she’s never known?
Oh my goodness! Can I marry Campbell? Actually I think he is now on my list of Highlanders I want to do all sorts of things with! This was actually a really great story! Campbell and Joan fall in love on their journey but both have issues that they need to sort through. When Campbell first kisses her Joan keeps going over in head what is happening and can’t believe that he is kissing her because she think that he thinks she is a boy. Finally when he pulls away and says “Josephine or Joanne?” and tells her he has been racking his brain trying to figure out what Jo is short for does she get it. Also the labor scene is great! I found myself laughing out loud a bit there.
You can purchase To Marry a Scottish Laird on Amazon and Barnes and Noble.
I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.

No they weren’t! I wonder if Highlander men are like this though now.

A lard woud be nice but I am glad I went with a simple man who loves me. The book looks OK although I dont usually read this genre. I might read it in a pinch.

No woman could ever ask for more than a simple man who loves her. You are truly blessed! I don’t normally read romance as much as I have been lately.

I usually don’t care much for romance, but this sounds like an interesting read.
