I have never even heard the Midsleeper term before and I have had a half dozen kids! Now have grandkids , half of the 6 are just one year olds, so will be dealing with this in a year or so. I love the idea of a kids toddler bed being a platform type with drawers underneath. What a great space-saver! I used to do woodworking and am sure there have to be simple plans out there to make one. I wish I had the energy now to make one for each family.
Yes, safety is huge factor. Gosh, I remember all the kids getting up and down all night when they shifted from crib to bed. It is a bit scary almost, to find the right bed for a toddler. The one shown looks safe and simple and probably the best bet to go with this type…low to ground and sturdy.
