Travel Destinations When the Dollar is Strong

Travel Destinations When the Dollar is Strong

Traveling can be so much fun regardless of where or when you go but where do you travel when the US dollar is strong? You would be surprised at the number of affordable destinations there is for you to choose from. I know that I was and there are actually a few of them on my places to see list. I listed a couple of those places below, check them out and see if they are on your list as well!

Sydney Opera House

Sydney, Australia

Now I know you are thinking that this particular spot is actually one of the higher priced places to visit. While that is true you may be surprised to learn that it is actually priced well below its counterparts here in the US. I really want to visit Sydney one of these days and not just to visit the opera house although it is pretty high up on my list.

Sevill Sqaure in Spain

Spain

There are a million reasons why I want to visit Spain and I could list them all but I won’t. The biggest reason truthfully is the food! I want to experience all the food of Spain. Maybe I will do that once the kids are grown and out of the house. Right now it is also much lower priced to visit than many other places.

Boracay, Philippines

Boracay, Philippines

Let’s face it we all want to visit a beautiful beach and Boracay in the Philippines is one place that has it! The biggest expense is the airfare to get there but once there you can find plenty of affordable things. In fact this would be one of those trips that you could use some or all of those air miles for.

As I said those are just a few of the places I would love to visit. To be honest planning to travel while the US dollar is strong is something I have thinking more and more about. Especially with everything that has been going on with me. I was thinking that in a few months once I get back to normal the kids and I could take a little vacation.

My parents are doing a European tour right now. They are getting so much more for their money than when we lived in Switzerland a few years ago! It makes me want to go back!

These pictures make me want to travel! Right now, our kids are so young it is hard to want to be away for long. When they are older, I look forward going to Spain! Australia would be fun too. I’ve never considered the Philippines but the beach makes it tempting for sure.

Philippines and Spain sound quite amazing places to take a trip and stay for a while, a long while that is. If only that where possible i would be in heaven. Would love to take a trip to both one day with my husband. Would love to see the culture, eat the food, and take part in some amazing adventures.
