You all know how much I love finding new and unique things for all of you. Well allow me to introduce you to Traverse Gourmet. Traverse Gourmet is a Northern Michigan company that practice what they preach. They are very selective about the artisans they use. They are committed to not only bringing you some of the best fair trade, organic products but also to the Earth. Their packaging is biodegradable and recycled. They also give at least 1% of their sales to local environmental organizations.
They have items such as homemade artisan bread (shown above), to fair trade coffee to chocolate. Who would not want to receive one of those items as a gift? The best part is that you can give someone (ME!!!ME!!!) or yourself a 3, 6 , or 12 month membership into Traverse Gourmet’s Gourmet Food Club. Each month they would get a great assortment of items to enjoy. It is the gift that keeps on giving and anyone who wants to give me one can email me for my shipping address.
I also really like their Michigan Gift Baskets which is want the giveaway prize will be but I will get to it in a minute. Each “gift basket” comes packaged in either a 100% recycled kraft gift or a recycled cotton tote and are all filled with wonderful food.
One lucky Rita Reviews reader will win a Hostess Gift Box, which is filled with the following food items:
- Grocer’s Daughter Pecan Thyme – Pecans caramelized in Still Point Farm pure Michigan Maple Syrup with a hint of arbol chiles and Thyme. Drizzled with dark chocolate. An elegant snack for your party or just for munching. Net Wt. 3.5 oz.

I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.
