Tyson Breakfast Bread Bowls on Plate

Summer is here and finding foods that are good for the kids can be a bit of a challenge. The other challenge is that since there is no school I am actually working more and the kids end up getting their own breakfast some mornings. I want something that has enough protein to get them ready for the day. The trick is coming up with something fits that bill.

Luckily Tyson came to my rescue in the form of their Tyson Breakfast Bread Bowls. These are little bread bowls that are filled with eggs and sausage. I picked some recently when I went to Walmart figuring if nothing else they would be something different. After reading the back of the package I discovered that these puppies have 11 grams of protein in them. That is more than enough to make this mom super happy.

Tyson Breakfast Bread Bowls Upclose

Now to figure out what to make to go with them for breakfast. Since, as you all know I have losing weight, I have got the whole family working on eating better so when I started thinking about what to pair with the Breakfast Bread Bowls I was stuck. I knew that kids would have milk to drink because all they ever have for breakfast is milk or orange juice but I wanted to pair these with some light.

Fruit for Breakfast

Then it hit me like a tons of bricks! Actually it was something that hubby said the other morning while we making breakfast together. He said he just wanted some fruit for breakfast so I had him cut up enough for everyone. The fruit is just the right amount of “light” to the Breakfast Bread Bowls “heavy.” the entire breakfast was a huge hit and I feel like super mom now!

Tyson Breakfast Bread Bowls Look Interesting

I spend so much time fretting over what to give the kids for breakfast that is perfectly balanced because I want them to first and foremost enjoy their meal but I want my children to learn to eat healthy. I don’t want them to have the horrible eating habits that I picked up as a child. The Tyson Breakfast Bread Bowls allowed me to give them just that. They are perfectly portioned and who knew that something from the freezer section could actually be good for you?

I love your fruit choices! Papaya, mango and bananas! Plenty of fiber and probably the right amount of light to supplement the protein and milk! I’ll have to check out these bread bowls!

I have to be honest and say that until hubby I never ate any of that fruit. He LOVES fruit and has exposed me to such a wider range.

I totally fret over what to feed my kids too! So hard, especially when you’re rushed in the mornings, getting ready for school & work. But these Tyson Breakfast Bowls look like a great, fast breakfast choice! Definitely will try them!

Your fruit looks beautiful! Thes Tyson Breakfast Bowls look very easy. Not only do I pack Hubz’ lunch everyday, I also send his breakfast. While lunch is pretty easy–a sandwich or small container of leftovers–breakfast is a challenge.

Those would be a huge hit here too! My family loves skillets, scrambles and such. I make quite a bit of homemade bread bowls for chili and soups in the winter so I can not believe I didn’t think of putting breakfast in a bowl. I will have to look for these next time I go shopping!

Check the frozen breakfast section of the store. I got these at Walmart but they may not be available in all the stores. If not ask your store manager about getting some.
