Ublooly

Jun 09, 2013 | Rita

Ubooly

Sometimes when we review an item it doesn’t always go the way I or the company wants. That is what happened with Ubooly which is a smart toy that can be programmed to know your child’s name as well as teach lessons and more. It is the fun way to learn without the kids even realizing they are learning.  I was so excited to get this amazing toy and app but the kids had their own way of thinking.

Well I should that Jacob at the least, who has been visiting with us, has had his own way of thinking. The day Ubooly arrived he fell in live with it and decided that book by as he calls him alone and he didn’t need anything extra. This is how Bloolby (as he calls it) has been since the day it arrived. The idea was to get 5 different pictures in five different places. I am telling this is the most difficult child ever! This was the one item that I really wanted all of the kids to use an enjoy because I feel like they can get so much out of it.

Ubooly and Jacob

But that monster (in my Grinch voice) just won’t turn lose of the thing. We spent half the day offering him everything from sweets to money and other toys if he would just give it to us for a few minutes.  The one time we did manage to get the phone in and begin to use it, it was so great. Ubooly comes on and says he is trapped in your phone! he is so cute but was  little hard to hear above the ear-piercing screams.

You can add in several kids and their birth dates that way Ubooly can pick lessons and games based on their ages. With that being said I wish there was a way to select say a  grade level as some kids are a bit more advanced than others. That is just a thought though.

 Get Your Own Ubooly

Ublooly costs 29.95 plus shipping and can be purchased on the Ubooly website. The app is free and can be downloaded from iTunes. They are working on an Android system app so just be patient. Connect with Ubooly on Facebook and Twitter so you can stay updated on all the new stuff! A word of advice though, play with yourself first before you give it to the kids!

I have seen the word Ubooly and did not know what it was until now. What a cute educational toy to help children learn without even trying! I think it is so cute, and you know that kids like this toy because Jacob would not let go of his Ubooly!
