Un Pato en Nueva York is a Spanish translation of Connie Kaldor’s award-winning story, A Duck in New York. Since we are a bilingual family we love Spanish books but I must tell you that is the cutest little story ever! The best part is this little book comes with a CD as well.
The little duck in this book is from the heartland but he has a big dream. He wants to go to New York City and do his ducky dance on Broadway. He sets out on his adventurous journey bound for failure until he meets Big Betty,a truck driver, who tells him “Yes, you can.” and points him in the right direction. The CD is so cute as well! There are little girls who sing “Quiero Tomates” off-key to get people to throw tomatoes at them.
If you r children want to learn Spanish reading a book is a great way to get started. This little duck’s lesson of following your dream in universal. It doesn’t know a language barrier and I promise this little book will find a place in your children’s heart, as well as yours.
Rita’s Rating:
I live in a small Georgia town that you most likely have never heard of and I LOVE it! My house is more than full as I am a single mother of four & caregiver to my aging mother and uncle. Lover of all things Outlander. Goes to the beat of her own drum woman.
