How many pounds of candy do you buy every Halloween? DO you ever feel guilty, maybe buy apples instead? I always feel guilty because I hate giving my children that much candy with all that sugar and God only knows what else. That was until I was introduced to UNREAL which is a different kind of candy.
To help my friends and I UNJUNK Halloween UNREAL sent us some of their wonderful treats to try out. Today we had a full scale tasting party, well it was more of a potluck dinner with candy for dessert. UNREL is the product of a question that a boy asked his father one Halloween, “Why candy needed to be so unhealthy?” After discovering the answer that boy, his father, and brother set out to make candy that would not only taste better but would not have all that junk (oils, colors, etc) that you don’t need.
After a quick dinner everyone enjoyed tasting all the candy laid out and each took home a bag with a few treats of their own. We enjoyed Candy Coated Chocolate pieces with and without Peanuts, Chocolate Caramel Nougat Bars, Chocolate Peanut Caramel Nougat Bars and, Peanut Butter Cups. So how did they stack up to their name brand counter parts? The candy that was laid out was all eaten and I talked to a couple of guests who said the candy they took home has already been eaten too. All that junk that other candy has in does nothing for the taste because when it is not in the candy it tastes even better!

Wow. If it taste that great and does not have all they additives, then I am willing to try it.
Wow–I’ve never heard of this candy. I am a candy lover—and not just at Halloween. And I always feel guilty–when I have candy and when I give it to kids. I have cleaned up our regular diet to eliminate the HFCS, Hydrogenated oils, etc, but Candy…still a weakness. I noticed that UNREAL is available at Kroger and Target–among many others–so I will keep an eye out.
I’ve heard a lot of great things about their candy especially their version of peanut m&m’s. I need to hurry up and try them out already

I’ve seen these at either my CVS or Walgreens. Next time I’ll have to try one. Peanut Butter Cups sound good.
I’ve never heard of this line before – I’m all for a healthier alternative to junk candy.
I really like the thought of Unjunking Halloween with having better made candy to eat without all the junk in it! I like all of the candy described and I am interested in looking into this candy. Thanks for sharing this!
I’ve never heard of this before, but I’ll have to check it out! I have a huge sweet tooth, but it’s so unhealthy. Maybe I can take some of the guilt out of my snacking!

I have heard of the candy but have never seen it nor tried it. We dont get trick or treaters so I would have to find it after Halloween.
