Update on Changes and Plans

I wanted to take the time to update y’all on the changes and plans that I have for Rita Reviews. You will remember last month I talked about some of the changes that needed to happen. I spent several weeks taking the time to evaluate everything and where I wanted to be. I will say this has been rather difficult for me. I lost some readers due to the Twitter issues that I am still fighting with them over. The Rafflecopter issues also cost me some readers. Hopefully, I have worked those out but using a different platform. I know that is difficult for some of you because you are so used to Rafflecopter. However, after talking with others who use the new platform I think y’all will adjust to it nicely. It is basically the same sort of thing. 

Behind the Scenes

One thing taking this time has allowed me is to deal with many behind the scene issues. Things I let go because I told myself I didn’t have time. The truth was I wasn’t making the time anymore and it was beginning to show. Rather badly too! I had let a lot of things go in my work life I am ashamed to say. 

I have made a conscious point to curb that. I went back to some things I used way back when I first began that I enjoyed using. Including an old content organizer. I loved it and changed for something more modern and supposedly more efficient. For me it wasn’t. the old method worked and I have since gone back to that. 

Newsletter and Giveaways

The giveaways will restart this month. The newsletter is cancelled. Most of y’all only read it for the extra entries. It seems silly to continue to put one out when everyone only wants one thing. I have a VIP Group on Facebook where I will randomly post extra entries codes. There will not be any set schedule for these. I will post them whenever. If you would like to join you can so here. Please note it may take me a day or so to get you approved. I have set times that I get on Facebook so I don’t waste hours on there.

New Look

Rita Reviews will be getting a huge overhaul with a new look in (fingers crossed) November. There is a chance it could come sooner but we are aiming for November. I am updating things and changing them because of the new sort of direction I am heading in. Don’t worry it is not going to be too far out there. My life has had some dramatic changes and it is past time to adjust Rita Reviews to that as well. 

November also means that I won’t be upstaging the new look that Storied Conversation got this month. Y’all should head over and check it out along with the giveaway that is going on to celebrate it. It was something I had wanted to do for a while and finally got the nerve up to make such a drastic change. I hope y’all like it because that is the sort of drastic change that is going to happen here. 

Friday Cocktails & Monthly Review

I thought I may end these but have decided to keep them for a while. I enjoy writing them and I hope that y’all enjoy them as well.  In the event that you don’t please let  me know. I am still a bit unsure about what I will be changing and what I won’t. That is one of the biggest reasons the look hasn’t changed yet. 

Reviews

You may have noticed in the last year or so that I haven’t done as many reviews as I have in the past. That is something that I will be changing. Although I admit I am much more selective now with my reviews. I will be adding some more in for y’all and I hope that you will enjoy them. 

Upcoming Holidays

The holidays are quickly approaching and I will admit that I am not really feeling a Holiday Gift Guide this year. I had planned on skipping it altogether. However, I may do a quick one or two. Who or what do you want to see the gift guides for this year? Is there anything that you just don’t want to see? Do you want a large giveaway? Maybe everything that  is in  one of my gift guides? These are currently just thoughts but let me know and who knows what may happen.
